Denver's Jason Elam is going into free agency as hot as any kicker in the NFL. During the past two seasons, Elam was 37-for-37 on field-goal attempts inside 40 yards and made 90 percent of his overall attempts. The Broncos are talking to Elam about an extension, but no deal appears imminent. -- Denver Post
I love E, hes been our one consant! I do think with his age, the hand should be writing soon? Hope not but thats life.

My question is should we get a punter that can kickoff or should we keep a punter, kicker and a kickoff specialist on the roster? I think we need to find someone that consistantly get touchbacks on kickoffs, it seems to me that the opposing team was consistantly fielding kickoffs from the field and not the endzone.
Yeah, we can't seem to teach our coverage guys to tackle (has been a problem at least 3 years now) so maybe a kicker that put the ball throught the endzone would be a better option. Not sure why we can't find a kicker/punter anywhere.

Well after how Tynes folded like a book under pressure twice tonight it made me realize even more how lucky we are to have Jason

I think we should find some magical hybrid, somebody that can kick field goals, punt the ball, and do kick offs into the endzone

Enough to get into HOF if he retires?

If last season was his last season, do you think he has enough resume to get into the HOF? I think his only chance is to go a couple more seasons.

No exaggeration there. Everybody remember when we won our first 3 games, Elam was responsible for them all? He was our MVP this season, hands down!

                  I hope he's a Bronco for life!

sbutk: i can see why Denver is taking TO's right now [trailing by 7, with 30 seconds left in the half]. but why Oakland???

Captain Lori: You are trying to figure out the Raiders. Try figuring out women instead; it's probably much easier.

                    Geez, I hope you're wrong. He's only 37. Morten Andersen is 47.

finished what, 15 for 15 of his last kicks, i definitley want this guy on my team

however i think we may need to draft or trade for a young kicker

I'd imagine they'd shove the franchise tag on him if they cant get a deal worked out.
"On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high."

Jason Elam is money in the bank and a must sign for the Broncos. I'm sure that Pat and Mike will agree.
