To me its a logical enough pick, though I would have preferred a RB for immediate impact this year. Shanny just doesn't often have offensive linemen start their first year, and I doubt Clady will jump right into our system.

I understand the pick, wished for something a bit more flashy, or a trade down to give us a bit more to work with later on, but hey. I figure its the guy the FO wanted, we had our pick, and honestly this year we can see what kind of drafting we'll end up with with Shanny having all the reigns.

I am not a fan of this pick, I don't have a problem with a tackle getting taken here but I believe that Williams or Albert should have been the pick. Clady didn't really get challenged in the collage level and barely had twenty reps at the combine. He doesn't have the strength to handle the tackle position and I fear that we have another George Foster on our roster I truly hope he proves me wrong and produces but my feeling is that it was the wrong pick.

I wonder why Mike Shannan chose Caldy instead of Williams who was more battle tested from playing in the SEC? Could it be because Caldy was thought to be easier to sign than Williams?

i for one would have been happy with Ryan or mENDENHALL. i HAVE SEEN cLADY IN COLLEGE GAMES ON TV, HE LOOKS POWERFUL AND GOD KNOWS WE HAVE TO REBUILT THE O LONE-TODD mR. bRONCO FROM oRANGE cOUNTY

I think it's a good pick. Not the pick I wanted but I guess it's the smart pick at this point. But I really wanted Reshard Mendenhall because I was just tired of this Musical Chairs with the RB's every year.

I just hope we do go RB with the next pick because we all know Travis sucks.

I for one am seriously disappointed with the pick, I wanted a rb, but I knew when nobody drafted him he was going to be the pick. Notice J Stew went right after us. Now we have a first round pick who is probably going to sit on the bench all year! Great pick shanahan, I hope you know what you are doing...
