Yea not knocking the chargers but we are no worse than them right now, but probabley no better. To every analyst saying SD is the only team in this weak division is stupid. SD must be the only west coast team that gets preferential treatment in the sporting community. Why I don't know.

Its just another writer giving his opinion. No big deal. It doesn't make it any more of a fact than us saying he's wrong.

The writer had SD as his Super Bowl pick. Hard for them to get there without making the playoffs, hence his slant (his other pick was NO and that's not looking great either).

Fact is, both Denver and SD are capable of beating any team on their schedule and losing to any team on their schedule (yes, even the Raiders). Whichever team can be more consistent (and possibly luckier) will be the one going through to the playoffs. I would also not be surprised to see the AFC West division leader go deep in the playoffs, as unlikely as it looks right now.
Hoping for a defensive-minded head coach and a return to the ZBS on offense. At the very least, no more cheaters for head coach.

[QUOTE=BroncFanIN;2414740]So SD is supposed to get their season back on the right track by beating Pittsbugh, a team known for stopping the run? Then go into Indy, who just beat Pittsbugh, and win there, too?

People keep forgetting that San Diego has a difficult schedule the rest of the way. Not saying that ours is a cake-walk, but keep in mind they have some long-travels ahead. They have to go all the way to Pittsburgh next week and then fly back to San Diego to host a much-improved Colts team. A few weeks later they have to go back across the country to face a Tampa team that will most certainly be battling for a playoff spot. And that is after a trip to KC. That is a lot of traveling for a 4-5 team.

Much like us San Diego's margin for error is shrinking fast. Had they lost to the Chiefs on Sunday there season would have gone down the drain. They barley escaped and now they face a very good and pissed off Pittsburgh team in the Steel City. We will know in the next couple of weeks if San Diego will go on the "grand" run that everyone keeps waiting for. In the meantime we need to play consistent, smart football. Our margin for error is small and we can only control our fate, not the Chargers. We can't lose focus looking at what is taking place out west.

I think the state of the AFC West is just sad right now. We used to be a tough division.

I guess it might be a good thing were not, theirs no way we would be competitive in a tough division with what we have done this year. The worst part is, This team should be. The best part is, and here goes. We have the talent on offense to turn this around and the defense has been solid at times.

Every year the Broncos start fast and finish weak.

And the last few seasons the Chargers start slow and finish strong.

Obviously SI recognizes a pattern when they see one.......

So if Denver loses and the Chargers win this week what will everyone be saying then?

if anything in this world remains true, it is that Denver does not win in KC ever.

In reality, there are no teams on the move in the AFC West, where the four teams are a combined 12-24. But by virtue of going 4-3 following their 0-2 start, the puzzling Chargers get the nod. Try as it might to give this thing away, San Diego still has the ability to finish comfortably ahead of Denver if it gets its act together starting this week at Pittsburgh. But doing things the easy way hasn't been the Chargers way this season. That's why I expect it to come down to Week 17 -- Denver at San Diego -- for the division title that nobody seems to want to win. Oakland and Kansas City have long since faded into irrelevance.

Team on the move: San Diego.

                      Team on the slide: Denver.

                      Playoff bound team(s): San Diego.

Best player: Philip Rivers, San Diego, quarterback.

Best rookie: Eddie Royal, Denver, receiver.

Why does every person outside of denver still think SD is this all pwoerful SB bound team? Barely able to beat KC after a BYE at home? Sigh...

Puke-face Phyllis isn't even the best player on his own team. He isn't even the best player on his own offense. Heck, he isn't even the best player in his own backfield.

Best player in the division is Champ Bailey, with Tomlinson a close second.

                            This is stupid

We have played the toughest part of our schedule in my opinion while SD still has pitt, indy, tb, atl, and us. We have won a few games with injuries across the board on offense and defense. SD is barely beating teams fully healthy. What seems more likely. Denver beating Atl, Oak, Jets, KC and going 9-4 into the home stretch or SD beating Pitt, Indy, Atl, Oak to go 8-5. We should have a 2, 3, or even 4 game lead going into our last few games. SD is healthy and looked awful against KC. Remember we lost to KC in the fourth quarter and it was at KC. KC has a huge home field advantage. The bolts were one play away from losing at home. Hopefully the Broncos can go on a winning streak so we can watch all of these reporters start eating there words for talking about us being on a downward slide.

well after reading that i guess we should pack in the remainder of the season...

no sense in finishing out the year... give the bolts the division and lets get on with the prepairing for next year...

                                look..

right now its our division to give up... until the bolts are tied with us, we still have the division... the players are going to play and whatever happens happens... the bolts and the broncos both have major issues and both teams are struggling... which ever team turns the corner quicker will lock up the division but as of right now the broncos own it... :salute!:
