Broncos WLB D.J. Williams (knee) has resumed practicing without limits and is on track to start this week.

Williams, the best player on Denver's front seven, should immediately regain his full-time starting role from Wesley Woodyard. Woodyard was decent in Williams' absence, but D.J. offers more big-play and run-stopping ability.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Selvin Young (groin) returned to a complete practice on Wednesday.

Young is due back this week, but isn't likely to be more than a change of pace behind Peyton Hillis. Hillis owners can view Selvin as a handcuff. He hasn't been healthy in a month and the injury is subject to re-aggravation.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Broncos MLB Nate Webster (knee) is expected to resume playing this week.

Before spraining his MCL in Week 10, Webster was averaging eight tackles a game and had two sacks. Still, he won't help Denver's run defense much.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Champ Bailey had limited participation

      Good news for sure.:salute!:

Champ was limited, I wouldn't mind if he continued to rest. It would be best if he came back 100 percent down the stretch. Rest two more games Champ we got you...

Selvin Young (groin) was limited in Broncos practice Thursday.

This now casts doubt on Young's status for Week 14. After he practiced fully on Wednesday, Young looked ready to play as a change of pace behind Peyton Hillis against the Chiefs. Selvin may now be a game-time decision.
                -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eddie Royal is not on the Broncos' Week 14 injury report.

A toe injury limited Royal all last week, but he still managed 84 yards and a score on five grabs against the Jets. His matchup against the Chiefs is favorable again. Royal is on pace for 79 catches, 947 yards (12.0 YPC), and seven TDs in one of the top seasons by a rookie wideout in league history.

Broncos LCB Champ Bailey (groin) "probably" will play in Week 14 against the Chiefs, according to the Denver Post.

KC figures to use a run-first game plan against Denver's 28th-ranked rush defense, but could test Bailey's side early when the Chiefs go to pass. If Champ holds up, they'd probably adjust and target RCB Dre' Bly the rest of the game. Consider Dwayne Bowe a must-start WR2 even if Champ plays.

Denver linebacker D.J. Williams took a step backward and cornerback Champ Bailey didn't make any progress Thursday. Williams was limited in his participation Thursday after he practiced fully the day before. Williams has missed four games with a knee injury.

Bailey continued to be limited. It is unlikely Denver will play Bailey unless he practices fully. With the Broncos on the verge of qualifying for the playoffs, so they likely won't push Williams or Bailey.

Meanwhile, defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban practiced on a limited basis after he didn't practice Wednesday with a back issue. Safety Marlon McCree, who has missed several games, practiced on a limited basis Thursday. He has an ankle injury.

Broncos CB Champ Bailey (groin) and LB D.J. Williams (knee) were downgraded during practice Thursday.

Bailey still isn't ready to go full speed, so it appears that he'll sit one more week and return for the big game against Carolina in Week 15. Upgrade Dwayne Bowe's matchup and consider him a must-start this week.

The Broncos are not expected to have WLB D.J. Williams (knee) or CB Champ Bailey (groin) in Week 14 against the Chiefs.

Wesley Woodyard will draw another start at weak-side linebacker and Josh Bell will again start at cornerback. Upgraded KC's offensive skill players.

Selvin Young (groin, probable) returned to a full practice Friday.

It now looks like Young is going to play against Kansas City, but don't expect him to get more than a handful of touches. Peyton Hillis has been named the Broncos' starter and his versatility makes him hard to keep off the field.

                              CHAMP UPDATE

Champ Bailey continues to work his way back from his groin injury suffered against New England, and he hopes to be able to play against the Chiefs on Sunday.

“I think I’ve progressed, but the thing is it’s moving so slow – it’s very frustrating,” Bailey said. “But I’ve just got to deal with it as it is. I think a lot of rest will help. Ive been out there on the field doing more than I thought I could do, so hopefully as time goes on in the next couple of days, I’ll be able to play.”

Bailey also weighed in on the importance of winning on Sunday.

“For some reason we’ve played them well at home. We haven’t played them well up there. We do have them here, and hopefully we can get this win. I know it’s another step closer to winning the division. It’s crazy because we feel like we need this game. We don’t want to go all the way to the last game trying to clinch everything.”

                                INJURY REPORT

The official injury report for the Broncos and Chiefs has been released.

The Broncos have listed D.J. Williams as doubtful while Ebenezer Ekuban, Marlon McCree, Champ Bailey and Spencer Larsen are questionable. Nate Webster is probably for his return to action Sunday.

Shanahan said that “most of the guys” would be game time decisions. He also said the weather could also play a factor in the return of the injured Broncos.

As for the Chiefs, wide receiver Mark Bradley, linebacker Donnie Edwards and cornerback Patrick Surtain will not play this weekend. Guard Adrian Jones and linebacker Pat Smith are questionable.
