ENGLEWOOD — The Broncos filled their open roster spot by signing safety Herana-Daze Jones Wednesday.

Jones filled the spot made available when defensive tackle Josh Shaw was placed on injured reserve Tuesday. Jones, a third-year veteran, led the Bengals in special teams tackles in both 2006 and 2007.

He played in three games for the Bengals this year and had four tackles.

Jones was on the Bengals practice squad in 2005.

He has a cooler name than any other safeties we've had. I think that makes him a winner. Career special-teamer though...

His college stats weren't bad. Lol I can't believe this guy has a website.

Well from what i read about him on his website, I got a few things about him that makes me think he could be a good fit. But of course time will tell since he hasn't played a game for us yet. But its says he is a vocal guy on Defense which is something we are missing. He is a good ST Tackler. And can also return punt and kicks. So I will be keeping an eye on him. Good Luck and Welcome to the Broncos!:salute!:

With our ST's recent gaffes, better personal on it is fine by me.

give the guy a break.. he's a roster filler.. if he pans out great... if not thats fine also..

hopefully coming from the bengals he doesnt have a crimal record

Perhaps it means Barrett will be getting more game action, and less special teams action.

I'm pretty sure that at one point Boss Bailey had the combine record. Like 48" or something like that. Not positive, but maybe someone can verify that.
