Cutler, Williams voted FedEx Air & Ground Players of the Week
    NFL.com

Quarterback Jay Cutler of the Denver Broncos and running back DeAngelo Wiiliams of the Carolina Panthers are the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week for games played from Dec. 4-8, the NFL announced Friday.

Cutler completed 32 of 40 passing attempts for 286 yards and two touchdowns in the Broncos' 24-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Williams rushed for 186 yards over 19 carries and scored two touchdowns in the Panthers' 38–23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football.

Cutler and Williams were selected from among six finalists in Air and Ground categories. The other FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week finalists were quarterbacks Shaun Hill of the San Francisco 49ers and Matt Schaub of the Houston Texans along with running backs Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans and Brian Westbrook of the Philadelphia Eagles.

So this means that Cutler now has more FedEx Air awards than Rivers this season.

Honestly, Schaub should have won, but congrats to our boy :salute!:

He was 28 of 42 while Cutler was 32 of 40. Both had the same amount of TDs but Cutler was more accurate

I agree, what he did to the Green Bay secondary was dirty. Cutler is still the man!

You're right but I take his 440 (or so, dunno) yards every day over Jay's 280 or whatever.
I know that a lot of this was part of his receivers but Cutler's completion percentage had a lot to do with a short-passing game as well.
Not to mention that Schaub went against a very strong GB secondary

414 actually. How many of those were deep throws? Cutler had more quality and short yardage throws.

It was fluke. Green Bay is 12th ranked pass defense with 204 yards given up a game. NO ONE should put up numbers like that against them.

As a side note, that's only 60 yards better than dead last, Seattle at 264. So there isn't THAT much variation in pass defenses this year.

Another side note is they are only 30 yards better than KC (29th worst pass defense) so you can't argue that Cutler played a much worse pass defense.

Go Cutler, THREE IN A ROW, coming right up. :salute!:

                            Wrong my friend,

The Packers D DID have a very good secondary; but a lot like us, there athletes are dropping like flies. When you put your best Corner in at safety (listen up all you talking about putting champ at safety), something is definaintly wrong and they got burnt for it. This is where rankings can be misleading, they don't take in the consideration of "impact injuries," or "improvements." All you see is the number.

Wow Clady and Cutler. I think all our advertisement of this award every week in these boards really helps.

                              Cutler, 2 times in a row. W00t.
