I know Capers probably isn't the guy due to the whole denver post not clarifying him "DC". But, I still need to know the truth!!
Considering Adam Schefter is reporting it, I'd bet money on Mike Nolan.

I heard the same, I'm really excited about this!

      Thx,

Haven't really paid attention to the style he runs. Is it 4-3, 3-4, blitzing, tampa-2 or what?

Now that the Broncos have agreed to hire Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels as head coach, he has begun to piece together his staff.

McDaniels’ most significant hire will be his defensive coordinator. And Denver’s new defensive coordinator is expected to be former 49ers head coach Mike Nolan, a Broncos source confirmed Sunday night.

Nolan interviewed for the Packers’ job last week, but he will take the Broncos’ job, returning him to the city where he once coached under Dan Reeves and Wade Phillips.

                Lol.

Given he'll be a coordinator, I'm sure he won't be wearing a suit.

McDaniels is an offensive guy. That will help Cutler with the decision to fire MS. It will also help him continue to develop as an NFL QB. The guy was at the helm of the top rated offense....in NFL history.

Hiring a veteran defensive coordinator is HUGE!!!

I'm actually REALLY happy to hear this. This is the best news.

Nolan is a fantastic defensive mind. Very fortunate to have him, especially with a young guy like MickieD.

I'm guessing if the RMN report about Dom Capers being hired on, would be as asst HC?

Mostly 3-4, but like most coaches he has had some experience with the 4-3.

Not too excited even slightly befuddled with the McDaniels hire, but would love to see a Nolan as DC. It would make sense.
