He looks upset like anyone would, but show me one quote where he's thrown a guy under the bus, just one. I hate Brady, and think personally still that he's a product of an extremely good system. But that being said, the guy is a class act and protects his teammates from the press.

While I both agree and disagree with many posts in this thread I have to lean towards champ on this one. Jay really needs to learn how to manage the game better, and also to learn that you don't have to go for the big play EVERY time on every drive. There is something to be said to check the ball down and live to fight another day. -Great Post Cut the Excuses out please. sigh...

Oh... REALLY? When was Cutler EVER a back up and who played in front of him? I think you're full of crap, just like all his other detractors here.

Says here that he was the starter in EVERY game he played at Vandy . . . Congratulations, you've just been placed on Triple X's IGNORE list!

He makes it seem like Denver fans have a grudge against him for these things. Like we havent Embraced Jay Cutler....

I dont think of him as following Elway Personally and i know for a FACT more Denver fans loved he said he had a stronger arm Than Elway more than they hated it.

Also the Attitude thing only pissed most of us off this week...

          • Trent Dilfer thinks this whole Josh/Jay thing is going to help the team...

#1 - Shows that Josh is in charge and nobody is above getting axed. Now every player will have to work that much harder to make sure he remains in Denver.

#2 - Gives a spark to Jay to prove Josh wrong. After Jay settles down and gets over this whole trade thing he'll want to put the extra time in to prove people wrong.

I guess I can agree with both views...

            • Leading by fear is no way to lead. If you have to scare your guys into working hard, that will only work for so long. You want a leader who will make their players want to jump on a grenade for you, not be afraid that you are going to toss a grenade at them.

Anything can be a positive. This whole thing got blown out of proportion, and I think it can be a good thing in the end. Kind of like: have you ever been in a fist fight with someone, then you become good friends? We are all really speculating, so we don't ACTUALLY KNOW what has been said behind closed doors, etc. In the end, though, a little adversity can create resolve.:salute!:

Your right.... who knows if this coming season is a failure Bowlen might fire McDaniels. We all know that the coach is usually the first person that gets all the blame. (unless of course you are Shanahan )

                    • Its not really 'fear', just a big party where everyone gets a slice of humble pie. Even the franchise QB isn't safe.

Lets face it, Jay has an ego; comparing himself to Elway, throwing the D under the bus one game last season, his public display of anger when mike was fired, etc....

when the fire clears, like i think it will, this might be good to humble Jay a bit.

Yeh, I think jay needed this because now he has something to prove. All of us do better when we want to show we are better than we are percieved. i think this is a turning point for Jay, and hopefully for the Broncos, it's the pivotal point in which he becomes a true franchise QB like manning and the others.

Every good QB has an ego. Or are you telling me that Brady, Manning, Montana, Elway, Marino, etc were humble guys. What you call ego, I call confidence. We had a guy who was "humble" in Griese. He was an introvert who couldn't lead the team.

                            In Manning I trust.

dually noted, those guys left public displays for the private and didn't compare themselves to other proven legends. Manning is the most humble guy I have ever seen on a mic.... As well as Marino. Besides Elway's little draft stunt, he was very humble.

Confidence and ego are very important to dominating people. All I'm saying is learn how avoid being assertive with your ego, let your talent speak instead.
