Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

$100,000 is not enough of a financial incentive for someone who gets paid what Cutler does to determine whether or not he shows up for off season conditioning. IMHO one of the things that will probably come into play is Cutler's loyalty to and support for his teammates.
I keep hearing this concept: How dare Jay defy the man who signs his checks? Yeah, none of us ever dared blow off our boss in life. Remember, Jay said that Pat and McD were real nice to him around Dove Valley and then underhandedly tried to trade him for a career backup. Because McD felt a role player like Cassel made more sense for his system than Jay Cutler.
I'm sorry but if you can't make a player like Jay Cutler work in your "vaunted" offense then you're not a good coach.
And Pat Bowlen playing nice then trying to ship Jay out of town is the height of arrogance and ******baggery.
Typically I hate Cutler's attitude, but in this case, when he's giving the finger to the Man, well I'm right behind him. Screw you Bowlen. You're a snake. Oh yeah it's a business, I forgot. So therefor we can do stupid things and treat people like trash. It worked for Wall Street right?
McD looks like he's going to be a dud in this league. The good news is that we as true fans of the Broncos will outlast him. He'll be gone sooner rather than later. The bad news is that he'll take Cutler down with him, and we'll be left with a bad couple of years, no franchise QB, and an owner who might be turning into Al Davis V.02
Could not of said it better myself, Great Post....:salute!:
It's absolutely amazing to watch the all the people jumping off the Jay Cutler bandwagon....
I for one am stunned to see we only had 28 3 and out drives last year. I have been looking for this stat...where can I find it?
Thanks, Micah
I counted them using the game drive charts at NFL.com. I didn't count 3 and outs where it was obvious that the offense wasn't trying really hard to move the ball, like last seconds of half or at the end of games in kneel down mode. And looking at these drive charts, fumbles hurt the team more than anything. They almost always occurred while driving into the opponents territory or in the red zone and early in the game when it seems that they affected how the rest of the game played out.
How has mcdaniels handled this situation like an idiot. he obviously wants to move on with this crap. just cuz hes not gonna hold jays hand. hes in charge if jay doesnt like it then move on. theres plenty of other good qbs that wanna come in and start.
He'll be there. He's very loyal when it comes to his teammates and judging from comments made by guys who played with him in college, I doubt he'll skip this out of spite for the FO. He might be upset still with them, but I really doubt that will dissuade him from his team responsibilities.
Fire Rick Dennison - This Signature will stay until the worst playcaller in the NFL is gone.
I just find it funny how people who have never been in Jay's position feel they can judge him harshly.
Bowlen has been lying (or at the very least, going back on many things he stated) since he fired Shanahan, and McDaniels has been lying since he got to town. What the heck happened with finding a strict X's and O's guy and letting the front office control the personnel? Since when does McDaniels run the show? That's supposed to be better than what we had with Shanahan?
If I were Jay, and I were at Dove Valley for two weeks, and everyone was making awkward smiles with me, pretending like I was part of the bigger plan, only to turn around and try to trade me underneath my nose for a career backup then proceed to lie about it, I'd be pretty upset too. And you know what? I probably wouldn't call my boss back right away, either. Jay is not required to be at the Broncos beck and call, despite what some people here tend to believe.
At this point, they might as well trade Cutler. It's clearly not going to work, and if McDaniels is still going to try and play Alpha Male with his star quarterback, it's just going to go downhill from here. Trade Jay and give him a fresh start somewhere else and let McDaniels bring in whatever loser quarterback he thinks is better. I mean, it's not about talent in McDaniels' system - it's about scheme, right?

Yeah...too bad none of them have half the talent Cutler does.

Actually, there aren't. Rookie head coaches are easier to find than franchise QBs.
Hoping for a defensive-minded head coach and a return to the ZBS on offense. At the very least, no more cheaters for head coach.
