Unlike Chad Johnson of the Bengals, the Broncos will have no choice but to trade him as they did Clinton Portis.

When Jay goes so do I. The Broncos have become a Joke. This is an instant replay of the Elway / Colts saga with the Broncos being the Colts.

Ok.. so in actuality you are a Jay Cutler fan and NOT a Bronco fan. No one player is bigger than a team.. especially an NFL team where players come and go. Sorry, but there is no way I stop being a Bronco fan because a QB of a couple years hits the road.. that seems so ridiculous to me!!
Toto, I don't think we are in Kansas anymore

    • Cutler needs to learn to be a leader and a stand up guy, and just shut his big mouth!

with that being said...I LOVE Cut during the games, he's a great player and I think it is SOOOOO retarded of McD to even be willin' to trade him, because honestly we could've never gotten compensated by ANY of the teams listed in all the trade talks...but i really think, this thing has gotten WAY at of proportion MAINLY!!!!! because of Cut's mouth...think about it...

          I love the drama!
DENVER – In the dank and cramped visitors' locker room this past Monday night in Oakland, knowing full well a television camera was catching every word he said to his team, Broncos coach Mike Shanahan wasted no time.

“I hate the Chargers,” he declared.

How can you expect him to be a leader and keep his mouth shut. On the contrary, the QB is the guy you want to be vocal. Hell, that's one of the reasons that we all hated Grease ball. He just wanted to drink and throw the ball to the other team and manage the game and people booed him out of town. I love the kind of player Jay is, reminds me a lot of Peyton Manning in the way he carries himself and acts, and for that obviously he's going to get some enemies, but hell, I think the guy is the best thing to happen to Denver since Terrell Davis came to town.

Does Jay have a no trade clause in his contract? Uh no-

They can ship him wherever they want to. So, I would say he doesn't exactly hold the best hand here. The best hand for Jay would be to show up and have the best season he possibly can, then try and force a trade if he still feels that way at the end of the season.

Why wouldn't they be able to pull a Chad Johnson on him? If he doesn't show up then he doesn't get paid.

If he doesn't show up on monday, people will wonder why not. But I will bet that he does show up monday, and he'll probably be smiling at that.

How do you feel about Jay Cutler thinking about skipping his offseason workouts next week to stay at home and cry some more?
Those are two different issues. McDaniels would not answer whether he initiated talks to trade Cutler.

The fact that they are saying they are not going to trade Cutler is a different issue and does not answer the question whether McDaniels initiated the Cutler-Cassel talks

Again, see the post above about the history of the Colts. The Broncos are heading down the path of the Baltimore Colts. How many of you here would be Detroit lions fans for those of you not old enough to know about the sorry history of the Baltimore Colts.

                        ..
cutler hasnt said anything other than that he was surprised and dissapointed by the trade talks. This media (vic "d-bag" Lombardi, peter king, and chris mortenson) has blown this whole thing out of proportion by stating speculation as fact

Yeah, and every time I ask them for quotes proving otherwise, there's a huge silence following, and that silence is deafening.

He told Jay he was expected to report camp.

He told Jay no one was above being traded.

If this was you sitting in front of your boss do you think you deserve something more?
If this is me sitting in front of my boss I wouldn't be able to trust him. Would you trust someone that said something wasn't going to happen to you only to find out that it was a possibility and then not have any reassurance other than "it can happen to anyone on the team"?

McDaniels (defacto Broncos organizational voice to Cutler) has sent mixed messages at best. We won't trade you but anyone can be trade bait. It would have been much different if McDaniels had said from day one that anyone could be considered for trade. The past 2 weeks would have been a non-event and the big bruhaha would not have happened. Unfortunately, Cutler was reassured by HC McDaniels that he wouldn't be traded and later found out he was a failed trade.

Mistakes were made by everyone. Unlike most posters, I'm not getting all wrapped up in it. What will happen will happen and there's nothing I can do about. Why get your undies in a bunch about it?

Because they will have no credible starting quarterback and one of the toughest schedules of the NFL. If I was an opposing team I would love to play the Broncos to put up a big Win.
