Cutler and Scheffler to the Browns for Brady and their #1 and a conditional #2 pick for 2010 (based on if Cutler makes the pro bowl or not - which he will not). Cutler only made the pro bowl this year because Brady and Palmer were both injured. Cutler is the sixth best QB in the conference.

I hope you guys realize, everytime Herm, Trent or anyone who talks about the Josh McD/Cutler situation, they're just repeating news that we already knew. So please yall.. no more "breaking news! Herm thinks Josh McD will try and setup another meeting with Cutler!"

Trading Cutler is a horrible scenario, since we are on the verge of greatness again. However, if the relationship is irreconcilable, then let's get him to Cleveland for Brady Quinn. Quinn is young, tough, and ready to lead and start. I hear people mentioning Jason Campbell, Byron Leftwich, Vince Young? Are you kidding me? One of them for Cutler? We need a gunslinger and Quinn fits that bill and he can move around in the pocket, just like Cutler. If no Quinn, then go sign Jeff Garcia (he's old) because he would be good for a year or two, while a younger QB is groomed. Leinart can't start in Arizona so what makes people think that he could start for us?

Since there are other teams that know Cook's method, I would think that the NFL League office would know as well as the NFLPA.

Couldn't the NFLPA warn Cutler of Cook's methods?

Could the NFLPA help Cutler work things out in Denver?

I agree only to an extent

What kinda of new head coach talks to the leader of the team and expresses all sorts of excitement about how much he will love playing in his system and then blindsides him and attempts to trade him

I can understand wanting to trade him but he lied straight to his face and like cutler mentioned he mislead him

I don't think they would, they likely take the stance that unless your agent is doing something illegal (tampering etc) then you are free to choose whatever rep you want....even if they do have questionable tactics.

I don't necessarily have a problem with them trying to trade Cutler, as much as what they tried to trade him for. The reports I've seen had us trading him for Cassel straight up or for Cassel while trading down in the first. Either scenario boggles the mind if you ask me. I think I would feel insulted if I were Cutler. Truth be told, I think that's the real issue here: Cutler feels like he was nearly traded for a scrub (a lif-time backup is by definition a scrub), and feels undervalued and disrespected. I think he has a point.

I completely agree. That's why half the league is trying to land him right now. However judging from the responses on the boards, there are more people than I expected that could care less if we loose Cutler.
