Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

This is exactly what I have been saying, Bus is driving Jay out of Denver.
jay is driving jay out of denver, if he didn't like how his agent was handling things he'd have fired him, players fire their agents all the time when they come into conflict with them.
bus cook didn't sell all of jay's houses, that was jay, bus cook didn't drag him back to nashville like a smoker from 'left4dead' that was jay
no wonder he's so immature, even alot of his team's fans don't want him to be able to take any responsibility for his actions
if you read this article i found on cbs4denver.com it stats that he has had his house on the market for months now which means that he didn't want to be here, and now that the little pow wow didn't going like poor cutler wanted he says he wants out.
SO I AM GOING TO SAY THIS ONLY ONE TIME>>>>>>>
This is why all of you need to quite acting like 5 year olds and start acting like adults, cutler wants to ditch us. so let him... you want to leave a team because your beloved head coach and QB coach is not here than fine, get lost LOSER, some team player. So i am asking you do you want a drama queen like cutler and TO on the team or some one that will actually help us win and maybe just maybe make it to the freakin playoffs.
1. Don't criticize people on how they act when you type worse than some 5 year old children.
2. This is old, and who says he said himself he was interested in purchasing property with (if I remember correctly) OVER 50 acres of space.
3. I don't like how Jay has handled this situation either, but he's proven that although he isn't the greatest QB, he can win if the defense can do it's job (which it hasn't done since he was thrown into the mix). Personally, I'm hoping Jay and McD can work this out and Jay will mature up a bit and show us what he can do when the defense can hold the other team under 25 points a game.
"Before McDaniels and the Broncos pursued a failed trade for Matt Cassel, Cook had already been begging to get his client out. Denver told him no from the beginning. But somehow Cook has been able — how hilarious is this? — to paint Cutler as some victim in the cruel world of NFL trade talk. At the moment, the Broncos seem to be losing the PR war."

I've gone through this situation many times in my head today. And the more I think about it, the more it just doesn't sit right in my head, and it feels like there's a giant piece to the puzzle that's missing.
From McDaniels' side, Matt Cassel is out of the picture indefinitely. So from my perspective, he should be kissing Jay's butt and telling him 'you're my guy' after every sentence the two speak. He has to know as the rest of us do that this team is better with Jay than without, and he certainly has to realize he's not going to the playoffs with Chris Simms as his starting quarterback.
It just doesn't make sense that he's unwilling to budge from his position of dealing Jay if he has to knowing he doesn't really have a fallback plan anymore, as he would have with Cassel.
From Cutler's side, I can't fathom why he wouldn't return Bowlens' calls. Here you have a golden opportunity to speak directly to the top of the food chain himself - and maybe get on his good side. And instead, you opt to ignore his phone calls, driving a wedge between you and the one guy who can tell you what you want to hear that supersedes anything McDaniels may tell you. Furthermore, there's nothing McDaniels can do about the attempt to trade him. No one can. All that can be done is Jay showing up to the team meetings and workouts and showing McDaniels that he made a mistake and underestimated him.
So from both angles, there's something that is just off. I couldn't put my finger on it, and then it hit me.
The Broncos don't want Jay here, and Jay doesn't want to be here.
I know what you're asking yourself. "If that's the case, then why don't they just end it and be done with it? Why all the drama?" It goes back to the Dane Cook joke about how when couples break up, they can't just end it responsibly and agree it's over. They have to end things as loud and violently as possible.
For the Broncos, they don't want to look like the bad guys that pushed out a franchise quarterback for no logistical reason. Attitude aside, Jay is one of the top quarterbacks in the league, and by default, the world. And he's REALLY young. You can't just give up on that without a reason. I think there is truth to the Broncos perhaps souring on Jay at some point during the two week time he was at Dove Valley working with McDaniels, and now they're trying to use this situation as an excuse to push for a trade. Or maybe they just know Jay is the most valuable player on the team from a trade perspective, and if he doesn't ask for one now, sooner or later they will have to work out a new deal and pay him a lot of money. Maybe McDaniels and the new front office figures that it's more important to rebuild the defense at this stage than keep a temperamental quarterback that you constantly have to reassure and keep happy, not to mention drastically change your philosophy to fit around his skills.
For Cutler, he's already been lied to or misled by Bowlen on a few occasions. He lost his head coach and his offensive coordinator, and the Broncos have done absolutely nothing to show him they want to build the offense around him and his talents, but rather force him into a system for which he's not suited. They didn't really consult him on the coaching hire. They went back on their word that they would keep the offensive coaches intact. However, he comes into Dove Valley, meets with McDaniels, becomes excited at the prospect of what he may be able to do in his (McDaniels' offense), so he thinks there might be hope. Then the ball drops, and it's revealed that McDaniels was involved in a trade discussion to bring in his former guy from New England. This is the straw that broke the camel's back. Rather than look at the situation more logically and calmly, Cutler goes on the offensive, calling every media outlet he can, convinced that he was almost traded and that he still will be traded. The Broncos attempt (albeit half-heartedly) to convince him otherwise but Cutler fortifies his relationship with his agent, who furthers Cutler's paranoia and convinces his client that the Broncos are firmly against him, preventing Cutler from having direct contact with McDaniels alone and leaking more and more information to the media about the trade that never was.
So in the end, it's a failed Las Vegas marriage. Cutler was never the right fit for McDaniels, and McDaniels was never the right fit for Cutler. At some point, both sides realized this, and rather than understand the situation and maturely coming to a divorce, they decided to play the court of public opinion and get the fans and media on their respective sides.
In the end, both sides are losers, and we fans suffer for it the most.
Ofcourse Jay doesn't wanna be there. The Front Office treated him like ****, and McDummy wants a guy that you can tell him what to do and he'll just do it. Cutler wants to take risks because to him it's about the game that he loves playing. Cutler is also very independent and could handle himself alone. McD wants to be able to just come in and control him and Cutler definatley does not work like that. GO JAY CUTLER! :cutler:
Honestly, Mojo, I think you are reading too much into this. I truly believe this is a war of the wills. McDaniel's made a rookie mistake but ultimately has the superior postion and expects Cutler to get over it.
It is the complete opposite of the Shanahan culture and it is a bit of Culture Shock!
As for McD, let's not forget that McD wanted Chris Simms in NE when Tom Brady went down. There was talk of cutting Cassell before the season, too. If McD understood QB's as much as he would have us believe, why would he have even thought of cutting Cassell? O'Connell had a good preseason, that's why! Had he not been over ruled on Simms, Simms would have been a Patriot.
It is no coincidence that Simms is now a Bronco. McD is arrogant and cocky and so is Jay.
There is no reason the Broncos have to trade J. Take the time and mend the relationship. This past season showed us you need two QB's! We have them now. Time will heal this (especially if this is all a Bus Cook fabrication!)
Too bad we can't. Not cause he's old or anything, but he's too busy doing Viagara commercials still.
haha... that'll keep a fella busy.
also, if what's his face trades away #6 maybe we could call up Elway and see if he'll give us one of his QBs from the Crush... I mean... couldn't be worse than what we'd get in return for Cuts right?

Nobody in their right mind would be selling a house in this market as a business move.
The housing market is depressed, and home values are abysmal. You can't really think Jay and/or his handlers arent aware of that.
Where there's smoke, there's fire...
You can click your heels together and say "there's no place like home" all you want, but the reality of this situation is not the fantasy land some of you are living in.
It is what it is. He's selling a couple houses, it had nothing to do with his situation with the Broncos....He said it himself.
I've been defending Mcdaniels for some time. I wasn't on board with his hire... I don't even really like the guy... but, since he's my HC for the time being... I want to believe in him (and his system). With this in mind, I've been killing Cutler... for blowing this out of proportion and turning this into WW3.
There's no way I could even fathom why Mcd would even trade JC for MC straight up. Especially to trade our 1st. I also doubted if we would even shop Cutler around.
BUT... I'm starting to worry that my original fears concerning Mcdaniels are even worse than I initially realized. This guy is a complete idiot. We all know that Bellycheat flopped in his first gig... This guys has sat there and let this thing explode.
BUT... back to your question: You ask what's wrong with this picture? It's simple (and obvious)... Cutler wanted out the moment Shanny got fired, and really made up his mind when Mcd was hired and Bates left. This is the only answer.
Here's more proof:
"Before McDaniels and the Broncos pursued a failed trade for Matt Cassel, Cook had already been begging to get his client out. Denver told him no from the beginning. But somehow Cook has been able — how hilarious is this? — to paint Cutler as some victim in the cruel world of NFL trade talk. At the moment, the Broncos seem to be losing the PR war."
From this perspective... this is why Cutler wont let this thing end. AND, if this is really true. Cutler is a BIG LOSER. He's led people to think he's the victim... If he pushed this from the start.... I totally lose all respect for him.

I agree with you J. It just sucks living through the drama of it all.
I have said from the begining that I think Jay had to of asked to be traded. If McDainels didn't want to coach Cutler I don't think he would of taking this job. I think Josh herd Jay's grumblings after Bates was let go, and when Cassel became available it had to make the new coach think twice. Personally there is to much unknown info and so much speculation that I can't believe how many of these fans are picking sides. I will wait until more facts come out before I choose. I love the Broncos I would prefer Jay to be under center for this team next year, but eitherway I'm gonna still cheer for my TEAM. (And Jay as well).:go:
