  • Ranking our best players on Offense and Defense

    Offense:
1.) Lonnie Paxton, how many Superbowls would he have won if Mike Leach wasnt holding us back all these years, thank god we made Paxton one of the most highly paid players at his position.

    Ok Seriously though:

    Offense:
1.) Jay Cutler, 25 year old pro-bowler, has not even played his best downs yet.
2.) Ryan Clady, will be a cornerstone of this Franchise for 10 years, period.
3.) Brandon Marshall, could easily be number 1 on this list, sadly he cannot stop going to Atlanta to get his domestic violence on.
4.) Eddie Royal, just a playmaking badass.
5.) Ryan Harris, another Franchise type of player at his position.

Our top 5 players on Offense are all 25 years old or younger, Shanahan really did draft some gems the past couple of years.

Defense: This is a little harder
    1.) Champ Bailey, I guess
    2.) DJ Williams?
    3.) Dawkins?
    4.) Dummerville?
5.) Woodyard, could be scary good.

I have a hard time even using the words good player and Broncos Defense in the same sentence, thats how freaking bad we were last year. Would be interested to see everyone elses player rankings.

        Offense:

        1. Cutler
        2. Clady
        3. Royal
        4. Harris
        5. Hillis

No Brandon until he can get over his drops and stay out of Jail.

        Defense

        1. Champ
        2. Dawkins
        3. Andre davis
        4. Goodman
        5. DJ

We still have the worst front 7 in the league- Thanks for focusing on our weaknesses coach.

          You gotta be kidding me..

Hillis and Royal are not better than Marshall.

          Not even close.

Regardless of Marshalls drops, which weren't all that many considering how many times he was thrown at.

And he has been staying out of trouble, this last 'incident' was nothing

Also, regarding your front 7 quip; THE DRAFT

I agree with the OPs list except I might actually swap Clady and Cutler. Clady IMO was the best LT in football last year as a Rookie, that is just insane. I hope he doesn't have a sophomore slump. I don't think he will.

I agree, with denvers 1st 6 picks in this seasons draft I feel at least 4 should be used on the front 7.

Yeah, he simply is unreal. I thought about ranking it like this
                    1A. Cutler
                    1B. Clady

I think Jay is more important just because QB is the most important player on the O, but LT is second on the important list and Clady is a 12 year 10 time ProBowl type guy. I think if the draft was done over Clady would have been the 2nd pick in the draft right behind Matt Ryan. Just my opinion

Agreed, I wonder where Eddie Royal would end up if you re-drafted, Top 15 probably, top 10 possibly?

I think Woodyard is better than DJ Williams (as a playmaker, almost notched as many tackles per game too) and better at his position than Dumervil is at his.
