  • Praise to McDaniels

Give praise when praise is due....

It only makes sense to praise a man that has strong belief that he can make majic wherever he goes. To trade away a pro bowl quarterback because of his arrogance for a quarterback that threw 4 interceptions in the first two preseason games....A man who's arrogance refuses to start Chris Sims over Kyle Orton only because he realizes the mistake he made in offending and trading away Jay Cutler....
Why not praise this man...he deserves it....I mean our defense looked really good not getting a stop in which McDaniels was suppose to be the answer to what shanahan could not do (fix the defense)....

    All praise to McDaniels....

          sigh

Sarcasm does NOT become you. Oh, and while Cutler, your pro-bowl god had a decent outing this week, Orton had one as well. Cutler was 8 of 13 for 121 yards (61.5% and 9.3 ypa) with 1 td. Orton was 18 of 26 for 182 yards (69.2% and 7.6ypa) with 1 td and 1 int. Orton's one interception was on 4th down and was done to avoid a sack , which would have amounted to pretty much the same starting point for the Seahawks when they took over. Don't forget the 2 interceptions Cutler threw in his first game either.
Tell me exactly what Cutler has done that makes him untouchable. Has he made the playoffs? Has he taken the team to any winning seasons? Has he acted like a spoiled diva for a new coach having the audacity to LISTEN to somebodies offers? One out of three isn't bad I suppose. If you want to talk arrogance it is Cutler's that saw him traded out of Denver, not McDaniels.
Have the Broncos had a rocky start to the preseason? Yes, they have, but they are instituting new systems with a huge percentage of new player, coaches and schemes. The Bears by contrast are going through much lesser changes.
Besides, nothing in the pre-season matters except evaluation of talent and working out the kinks. So, in closing, save your spite for the season when it matters . I think , however the Broncos will do better than the Bears and Orton will do very well.:orton:

            Good job coach McD!

You are actually toughening up these players mentally and physically to get better than the amazing and epic .500 record that our beloved Broncos were overall the past three seasons.

Ya go ahead and make fun of him for posting something positive, because for every positive thread there are 3 negative threads that are much more pathetic/old than this one...

But I'm sure all those threads bring something new to the table don't they?..

                      Garbonzos

I am not quite ready to bow before McD.

I do think has has shown some guts in the way he is dealing with Marshall. I am not saying it is the right way, but it is a strong stance.

I am not sure if this is a positive comment or not. He has a distinct personality.

Strong positions are either signs of strength, or signs of insecurity. For the purposes of this thread lets call it strength

He has done quick work of rebuilding the offense. :orton:

                        All praise to McDaniels....

                        I'll do you one better:

Praise to the head coach with the stones to admit to listening to calls regarding any player. You're being naive if you think teams don't call for Tom Brady and Peyton Manning in the offseason too pal.

Praise to the coach with the spine to deal with the crapshoot writers of the Denver Post basically slandering him any chance they get.

Praise to the coach that acknowledges he can't run the whole show by himself, so he brought in coaches and players that know what he's trying to do. Mike Nolan, Le Kevin Smith, Jabar Gaffney and Coach Nunnely are good examples.

Praise to the coach that comes in and wants to win right away and avoid the "rebuilding" period.

Praise to the coach that isn't playing favorites and treating the defense like second class citizens.

Praise to the coach that believes he can turn our very sub-par team into a contender in less than 12 months.

Praise to the OWNER that realizes 24-24 in 3 seasons isn't going to get you anywhere--except home in time to watch REAL teams go for the prize.

Praise to the quarterback that has come in here with his head high, admitting his mistakes, and working to fix them right away, regardless of how many people in Denver think he is nothing but a scrub. 21-12 as a starter doesn't lie.

Praise to the coach that won't cater to a prima donna wide receiver that admittedly doesn't know the playbook, but still wants to get paid.

Praise to the quarterback that takes all the heat for a bad throw and doesn't shuffle it off like it's the receivers fault. That's what builds trust in the locker room--not shifting blame.

Yeah, praise to THAT coach, owner and quarterback.

Tell me the names or names of all the QB'S that have ever had a winning season with a defense that gave up 400+ points. Ill help ya out it was last year and the QB is boderline HOF material. Some one asked a very interesting question in another thread. Name another QB in the NFL that would have done better than JC did in Denver the past 2 years. Be careful what you wish for you just might get it

My friends over at Sports Radio Interviews sent me a link to an interview Pat Bowlen did with a Chicago-area radio station. While there is nothing earth-shattering here. Below is a segment of the transcript -

What are the Bears getting in Jay Cutler?

“They’re getting an extremely talented young quarterback.”

Some one Please name me the last successful NFL QB that had to be taught how to throw the ball correctly.
