  • Why is there no ESPN Denver?

There's an ESPN Boston, ESPN Chicago, ESPN Dallas...

Last time I checked isn't there a professional Football, Baseball, Basketball, and Hockey team in Denver? And on top of that, they're all pretty good teams!!

Why must there be so much hate for the sports of Denver?

Denver is one of the few places to have teams, much less good teams, in every major physical sporting event. I'm not sure how much longer you can just say you're "working on it" when every week they come out with ESPN whatevers and Denver is still not there.

Dallas - 8 million people. Cowboys, Mavs, Stars

        Denver - 1 million people.

Boston - Pats, Red Sox, Bruins

Chicago - Cubs, Bears, Bulls, more people

Denver is not in the top 3 for sports venues, but it will probably come soon.

I'm pretty sure there will be an ESPN NY before an ESPN Denver...

                    Waitasec...you'd want an "ESPN Denver"?

Regardless, there's enough "Denver Sports" exclusive content on Altitude, FSN, CET and the local stations that it should satisfy.

                      You all are suck.

Dallas has a METRO population of 6,300,006

Denver has a METRO population of 2,506,626

... and yeah Colorado is small as hell population wise. The Denver metro is over half the population of the entire state.

I don't see an ESPN Denver... perhaps ever. So many other heavily overpopulated areas with teams to chose from.

Actually according to this the Denver Metro area has about 2.5 million people.

Those stats only count the technical city limits and don't take into account the entire metro area. Most people prefer to live just outside a city but still LIVE there, if you know what I mean. That's why they also measure metro areas, and in which case, it's about 6.3 mil for Dallas and 2.5 mil for Denver.

                            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorado

Colorado has 5 million people, the actual city of Denver is small (500,000 people) because it is surrounded by suburbs, no room left to grow, whenever you count city population you count metro population which all connecting suburbs combined. Metro Denver is about 2.5 million, Denver/Boulder/Greely/Ft. Collins is about 3-3.5 million, the entire Front Range (including Colorado Springs/Pueblo) is around 4-4.5 million. About 90% of Colorado's population live on the Front Range.
