  • What moment in Broncos history brought you the most grief?

There have been ups and downs. Any fan who has been around for a while definitely has had their share of pain. Of course the back to back SB wins made it worth it and even gets met through the last decade of blech.

    What's your most painful memory?

TD getting hurt early in '98? (mine...i still cry if I think about it too much)
A lost Superbowl. (I cried for SB XXII, i was 5, and the losses to WAS & NY,by the time we lost to SF I knew it was going to happen.)
    The McD - Cutler fiasco
Seeing a team that was just a defense away from a SB proceeding to dismantle the offense.

Those are mine...I feel better and ready to post something positive. :go:
John and TD should get their own wing in Canton.

Hell with the Cutler fiasco, mine's Darrent and Damian's death.
    Brock you like a hurricane!

Think of a bigger, stronger, more handsome Eli Manning.... That's Fargo.

      Definitely Darrent's murder.

The Super Bowl drubbing by the 49ers was rock bottom. Took alot of heat from that game from my buddies.

D Will's death. Anyone losing their life to a senseless act of violence is sad.

D Nash. Young atheletes in the prime of their lives aren't supposed to go out like that.

And now that all the negative is out of my system, my favorite moment in Broncos history:

John Elway proving all the critics wrong by leading the Broncos on a game winning drive in Super Bowl 32. Still get goosebumps watching Elway "helicopter" for the 1st down.

Yeah aside from the shocking murder of D-Will and the shocking sinned passing of Nash. I'd have to say watching that 55-10 decimitation by the 49'ers. What made that even worse a friend of my family was a 9ers fan and he was over for our SB party. Talk about a sad little boy

But one of my favorites is Pat saying, "This one's for John!" Between that and the afformentioned "helicopter" easily get the water works running.

Everyone is gonna say D Will, and I agree, but just to make things different...

Watching Terrel Davis try and come back those couple years after his injury. It was hard to watch. It is never good when a legend falls.
He's still Tim Tebow... and you're NOT!
But Peyton Manning will win a Super Bowl.

Being from Virginia originally and being related to alot of Skins fans, the drubbing in the SB by Doug Williams would be it for me.

Because building a superbowl defense is just that easy

Mine would be the stomping by the 49ers in the superbowl, the home loss in the playoffs to Jacksonville, and Williams/Nash's deaths. In no particular order.

Loss to the Giants in game 14 in 1998 ending the perfect season.

I really thought the only way to top the SB victory against the Packers was to go undefeated in 98. Even though we still repeated that year imagine Elway retiring on an undefeated year.

The Superbowl loss to the 49ers. Worst experience watching a game, just so tough being dismantled so bad in the biggest game of the year.

After that would have to be the loss to Jacksonville the year before we won our first Superbowl.

I would start with, the loss of life is in a place all its own.........tragic and far too young these men.

Beyond that, I have a few:

                          - The way we continue to falter near season's end, for the last few years. It becomes like a stigma. We do not believe, because we have been stung with this seemingly annual curse. But it will disappear, and I'm stating that 2010 will be a strong finish year!
                          - Watching McCaffrey go down with a broken leg......it just seemed to put an end to the glory we had become familiar with, and he was one of the rocks in the structure.
                          - Getting whipped in several SBs.
                          - Last offseason divided too many of us......and although I took my position, it still bothers me that we were so opposite in the direction.....the comraderie took a huge hit.

That was pretty bad, too. But it was a long winning streak from the previous year. Should have been done...at least we didn't roll over like the Colts!

                              1. Super Bowl XXI. I literally got sick every time I ate anything for two days after that loss, and I still hate Phil McConkey to this day. 2. Pat Bowlen stealing our uniforms and replacing them with something that belongs in NFL Europe. I'll never forgive him for that 3. The hiring of McD. I hated this guy well before the Cutler disaster. 4. TD's knee injury. 5. The Cutler disaster.

Tim Tebow combines the intensity of Ray Lewis with the throwing ability of... Ray Lewis.
