DT injured his foot, after diagnosing it it was felt that he tore scar tissue, and a little rehab and he'd be fine.

DT then got treatement until it felt good, and he could run and cut on it and get cleared for practice.

    DT then practiced.

After practice (or early the next morning) he said he had some discomfort, and since this discomfot, and treatment really hadn't progressed as they hoped, they decided to not waste any more time, and have him go to a specialist to ensure that their original assumptions were correct, and that there wasn't a hairline fracture or somthing complicating the healing treatment.

A zillion tests were ran, to get every angle they could, and give a 100% diagnosis, only to find out that everything structural was ok, and the soreness might be from him being to eager to return to the field, so back to the training room for a couple weeks.

in 1989, diagnosis would have been _____________(nothing there wasn't 24-7 press conferences). after the presesason game the coach would have said, "he's got some discomfort in his foot he'll be back as soon as possible"

in 1999, diagnosis would have been revealed in a pressconference that he re agrivated his foot and was being sent to a specialist for a second opininon.

in 2011....The age of twitter, where "hits" count more than acuracy.. This is how information plays out...

    * a "source" says DT re-agrivated his foot, and we're sending him to a specialist to make sure nothing freaky is going on, like a hairline fracture or a screw coming loos...

    * Vic tweets......"DT re-injured foot, could be out a long time, or it could be nothing"

    * The Denver post sees that and reports........"DT re-injures foot sources say it's a hairline fracture, and he could miss signifigant time"

    * Roto world see's that and posts........."Demarius Thomas of the broncos is likely out for extended periods of time due to Hairline fracture, drop him like crazy in all fantasy leagues....."

    * The board goes crazy, the seasons over, and McD sucks because after all you should have drafted Dez.....

    * The infamous "source" then says vic, you idiot, i said it's probably nothing like a lose screw, and i said insure it's "not a fracture"

    * Vic Tweets......." Sources say it's a loose screw and posibly not as bad as originally expected"

    * Rotoworld picks it up and reports......"Demarius Thomas injury not as bad as previously expected...."

    * Finally Burger Bill @ ESPN sit's down and see's every sight on the internet covering DT's ordeal, and posts and article........"DT's down for the year, Orton better pray someone shows up, because Tebow looked amazing in preseason....."

    * Finally the results get to the team officials, and say, nothing structural is wrong, the discomfort is a little higher than normal, but lets incorporate X, Y & Z into the rehab, and give him a couple weeks, everything should be ok.....

    * McDaniels the says "He's fine, i don't expect him to be out for more than a couple weeks"

    * However the fans are skeptical because they've heard otherwise, and insist on asking him every press conference about it....

Moral of the story.......Technology isn't always our friend.

    Who determines when he's 100%?

If the trainers say, well he appears to be 100%, and then DT say's he feels 100%, do you then wait 3 weeks, and hope he's 110%?

It's an obvious thought to wait until he's 100%, but it's not exactly that easy. Working out every day, you're never "not sore" you'll have good days, and bad days. Days when every muscle hurts, and days when you feel pretty good.

Everyone wants this behind them, and are being paid to be smart about it.

I'm not trying to pick on you, just trying to emphasize the reality.
