  • Why the Bronco/Raider game is sooo important

If the broncos can establish a dominating running game over the raiders, whose last 3 opponents have run all over them, denver will win this game...the raiders run defense ranks in the bottom half of the league (18th) I believe...

Denver has over 20 bootlegs in its playbook, if a running game is established, Jake will look like a magician and open up the passing game....3 of Ashley Lelie's 100-yard receiving games have come against the raiders...

by establishing this running game, denver will know who its starter is, hopefully, either Q or Reuben for the rest of season...

If the broncos can grab a few interceptions, which they really haven't done all year, it will bolster the defense even more and shut down kerry collins...

If Denver wins this game, they will be 3-0 in the division, which is HUGE down the line for playoff implications....

Denver with a win against the raiders puts them at 5-1, and we all know they really are a 5-0 team right now going in, will have a commanding lead in the division, and will no longer be the one of "quietest" best teams in the league....

Of course, there are 101 other things Denver has to do to win this game and do throughout the season, but even during week 6, this is a MUST win for the broncos...
Rod Smith's response to Clinton Portis about being traded to Washington...

"Why the %^&! did we do that?"

it is a massive game because if we win then we get complete control over the division.

some ppl say the west is the weakest but have you seen the nfc south!!!!!!!!!!!!! i personally think the west is a tough division though.

2 things we need to do -

    1 - establish the run.

2 - stop the run and force collins to throw on us.

its always hard going into the black hole (espeically for denver) and scoring early or getting a TO would help silence the crowd.

i just hope jake manages the game well, if the throw is not there then dont force it. throw away or take a sack.

The thing I don't get is why people think that the Faiders don't have to practicely play perfect on offense to have just a chance to beat us.

This game is so important because Al Davis hates to wear fishnet stockings after the raiders lose to the broncos, and that craps his night life.

what about the AFC North? just as weak, and maybe the NFC North. Lions are totally overrated, and Vikes defense just plain sucks.

hhhmm, isn't that how all the teams win? :p no, though, we should be ok, we've gone up against better defenses this year and if the Orange Crush II comes to play, we should have the already struggling Faiders struggle that much more.
