This is a list sorted by number of Defensive plays per game. Or the number of oppents offensive plays per game. As you can see Denver Severly limits the number of plays the other teams offense plays, and leads the league by quite a margin. While not all of the reason for the non exsistent turnovers can be blamed on this (a lack of oppurtunity because the Defense keeps thier offense off the field and our offense keeps our defense off the field especially in the fourth quarter), it can be part of it, plus it is a good indication that Denver really is one of the best teams in the league not just defenseivly (lots of three and outs), but offensivly as well (not nessisarily lots of points, but they hold the ball for a long time!).

Anyways Go Broncs Kill those Bungals!!

Sorry I am having formatting issues[edits]!

Bou I just can't get the formatting right!!

Take it a step further OBF.

Divide the turnovers by the plays per game to get an index value of...

        "Turnovers per play (per game)"

        I did the first few

        Denver - 0.096
        Washington - 0.139
        New York (A) - 0.225

At first glance it looks like SF is the worst at 0.048

The best??? Maybe... the Giants at 0.248

BETTER YET..... you could divide turnovers by the number of plays.

Denver would be 0.016 (or 1 turnover for every 62.4 plays <-- this number by dividing 0.016 into 1)
        SF - 0.008 (1 turnover every 124.3 plays)
        Giants - 0.0495 (1 turnover every 20.2 plays)

Damn... the Giants get a turnover every 20 plays!!! That's pretty damned good. The Jets aren't far behind at 1 every 22 plays.

                Very nice!!!

Man, the disparity between the 49ers and the rest of the league is amazing. We're not doing great, but San Francisco flat out sucks.

that has been said before you cant make turnovers if teams are going three and outs......another thing someone mentioned about zone defense to man to man ...and i think another part of it is putting pressure on a quarterback....look for this to change when pryce gets well
