  • ESPN "Audible" on Broncos QB

Edwards, Young, Dilfer, and K. Johnson talking football on ESPN...question came up, "Who starts?" referring to Orton or Tebow.

Dilfer said Orton is in a lose, lose situation and can only be viewed as a scape goat by Denver fans. He said the Broncos are a really bad football team and that Orton should do everything to get out of Denver.

Edwards said, Orton starts because Fox stated it (we know this was awhile ago) and Edwards also said, "You know what Tebow can do?" Steve Young inserted "Score" and Edwards said "He can move the ball and he will take the rest of the team with him."

Thought I'd pass the info along and my quotes of what was said isn't 100% accurate, but a close paraphrase. I got the feeling Young and Edwards like Tebow. Dilfer also made a comment in jest about how Tebow is a money-maker.

So was Elway - nothing wrong with that!

Wasnt Young very anti Tebow a year ago? Glad to see people coming around..Im sure Elways declaration of confidence has gone a long way to bring the other QB greats around

They all seemed to think that we needed to start Orton. They said we were a decent team before everything went to heck ( I assume they mean spy gate two) And some said they thought we should have stayed together longer.

Dilfer said Orton needs to get out. But Young said he'd be better off staying here and that going somewhere else may even be worse for him.

I do agree that he's a scape goat though.

I watched it and he still is. They were all mocking the heck out of Tebow.

          They really were.

TBH...I think it was Tim's 3 games and his attitude that has started bringing people around.

He remains a consistently nice guy...good role model....and a heck of a football player.

            Whats not to like?

Three of them were. Herm was not. Herm likes him. Herm thinks he takes over this year, and moves the ball.

Hmm, I didn't think they were 100% backing him, but my feeling was that Edwards and Young were not mocking him when they said he could score and moves the ball. Edward's definitely seemed to be supportive of him.

Dilfer, I'd agree, he seemed to be mocking Tebow.

I hate Trent Dilfer like the guy has right say anything most undeserving QB that won a Super Bowl. Be better thank 2000 Ravens Defense for the free ring....

Herm Edwards was a defensive player and coach.

No one studies different kinds of offenses and their threats more than defensive coaches who are responsible for stopping them.

The gray hair is there for a reason. Herm knows some stuff.

True. And conversely, sometimes it's the guys who have done it (quarterbacks) who are tone deaf about what it takes to get it done.

Dilfer in particular has over-thought it for years. He is the textbook picture of a ******.
