Coach John Fox has entrusted new DC Dennis Allen to oversee the defense during camp without meddling. "He's given me total leeway so far, and I wouldn't expect anything different," Allen said. "He's going to have his input and ideas. We have to do a good job of blending those things together." Allen will make the calls from the sidelines on gamedays, and Fox will oversee the entire operation. Broncos RapidReports

John Fox could still step in and change a play if he don't like it... but still I like that Allen is calling the plays seems like a bright coach and knows his stuff... best DC we've had here in a while. Lets hope he lives up to that

I would sure hope he's making the defensive calls...after all, he's the defensive coordinator, that's his job, and that's what we're paying him to do.

Yeah I really don't think John Fox will be leaving the "conservative" imprint that he was labeled with in Carolina.

He is going to give a lot of freedom to McCoy and Allen, while he is more of the football savy vet who manages the team and gives insight.

I was glad to see this interview. He seems like a kid when you see pics of him walking around--so young and skinny. But I really got the sense that he understands what's going on with the Defense. It was also encouraging to hear that he was part of taking the Saints from 3-13 to the NFC championship game in his first year (I think that's what he said at least). I was also glad to hear him say that he wants to create a defense that will be feared and hard hitting (within the rules) but feared...
