  • Rod Smith "going off" on the media

I just saw on foxsports net that Rod isnt cooperating with the media. Man he was mad and going off. They wanted to talk to him about records or his awesome game on last sunday. But Rod wasnt having it. It seems to me that he is pi$$ed about the losing. I think he is letting the team have it in the locker room. Rod really takes this losing bad, and the team better tighten up. I am sure everyone is feeling Rod's wrath.

I'm willing to bet if they drop this next game, a players only meeting will be called.™

I hope they dont start turning on each other. Offense vs Defense or something like that. Another loss could be the straw that breaks the camel's back. This is our biggest game of the year, a loss now could spell disaster.

Thats right we cant have them turning on each other but lets be optimistic. Its good Rod is going off, the team needs fire right now. I think its too much leadership on our team for them to turn on themselves.

Yeah, and Rod Is the #1 leader and he is doing his part to fire this team up. If they dont respond, I dont know what will become of this season. Rod knows what is going on, he(along with us) have seen this a few years in a row.

He did the same thing last year at the end of the season...Hopefully it's not too late.

I wouldn't have talked to the media either with the way the team was looking last week...He did get a standing o from the W&Cers when he came back to the bench...And that's hard to do

What are the W&Cers? I think he timed it right. Last year he took to long, but he got results. Management listened and changed the roster. Hopefully this time the team will listen and this will jump start the rest of the season.

                Wine & Cheese crowd...
The people that go to the games just because they can afford it & sit there with their headsets on & their poles tightly shoved up their behinds...

They don't make a peep, don't move, don't do anything. Some even hold business meetings during the game. This is what has become of the Mile High Spirit... *sigh*

Wow thats amazing BlueDamsel, at first I laughed at this post but now it concerns me a little. We spoke on that on the messageboard a few weeks ago. We gotta get that crowd to the way it used to be. I am going to Denver for the Indy and I guess I'll get to see this for myself.

I think more of the Players should give the Denver Media the cold shoulder more. They are so anti Denver Broncos as well as other Colorado teams to me. A lot of them aren't even from Colorado. A lot of them are a bunch of asses in my opinion. They love to stir things up as well. They get all pissy upset and say it's wrong because none of the Offensive Linemen still don't want to talk to them. Always criticizing the Players. I mean leave the real criticizing to us real Fans. Anyway, they're a bunch of asses.

                        Always.
I'll be in the north stands this weekend - section 117.

Will be tailgating in our normal place, but on a smaller scaled back basis...

It's slowly getting better...Every person makes a bit of difference...
Depending on where your tix are, you may or may not experience this...It's us normal fans that are getting things back to the way things were in Mile High...

Of course, the stadium police & event staff hurt it too - it's like they don't want things to go back to the way they were -- During the season opener, the guy in front of me (South Stands, Sec 135) was standing up & cheering & yelling & jeering some KC fans -- nothing threatening or harmful, all in good clean fun (the KC fan came down towards the end of the game & they shook hands & it was all good) and the cops came down & told the guy to settle down or he was going to be escorted out. That's not the way it should go. I'm not saying it should be an all out free-for-all, but give the fans a little bit of leeway to have fun & get pumped up....

The Falcons commented about how loud Airhead Stadium was the week before and how quiet it was in Denver. I have seen shots of the crowd that proves what you say. They sit there with their thumbs up their asses.

What has happened to us? With the new stadium and price increase, the crowd has turned yuppie on us. I know of several people that gave up their seats because of this. It just isn't the same and unless the attendees start giving us our mystique back, it will become an easy place to play on the road when for so many years we were feared.

Obviously there are the rowdy fans that get into the game and are probably represented by the posters on these boards. I thought after the crowd got to know their new "neighbors" it would loosen up and get back to the way it was. This doesn't seem to be the case. <sigh>

And hold business meetings? DEAR GOD.... ROFLMFAO! Go to Dennys.

I like Rod's fired up attitude. He is a definate leader and let's hope he created a spark on both sides of the ball. Somebody had to do it!!!

Come On Broncos!!!! We Need This Win Bad! We need to get the moral back up and hope we pound the living crap out of them. We have something to prove.

Man now I am fired up!! LOL. LETS GO BRONCOS!! Wish I could be in the stands.

WHAT??????!!!!! You have got to be freaking kidding me????? I remember the cops used to run down the isles and cheer with us in the old days.

This is truly sad, pathetic and ridiculous. :0
