  • One offseason must!

Denver must get at least an average Offensive Coordinator. This one would likely have trouble in high school. Tebow was a carreer 67% passer in college against the best defenses that any of these college QBs faced including Cam Newton. Also, what most do not realize is that Tebow and Newton competed head to head on the same team, with Tebow winning out.

We saw today what Green Bay's backup did. So it isn't Aaron Rogers per se. Matt came in and set the single game record for yardage and touch downs. When you play for a winning team that happens. Just like when Joe Montana won with San Fran, while Steve Young went winless in Tampa Bay. Then Steve Young came to San Fran and won a Super Bowl and was the MVP. Same thing happened with the undefeated Dolphins team. Bob Griese went down with a broken leg in the 3rd game of the season. Enter Don Strock who won every game up until the Super Bowl when Griese came back and won that.

What makes Tim unique is that he has won with a losing team. Not just a team that was 1 and 4 this year prior to his coming in, but only won a few games last year. Even more impressive is that the play calling keeps him at bay until the end of the game and then he throws for 4 or 5 times the yardage in a few minutes than he has the whole game. It only happens though when they have to score and Tebow is calling the plays.

If the Broncos want to win then they need to turn the play calling over to Tim for the second half, and then the first priority for the offseason has to be to acquire at least an adequate Offensive Coordinator.

Fox and McCoy eats these kind of performances up... I am guessing they felt that 30 minutes was a win????

Keep it close, run the ball, don't make mistakes..... Problem is, WE now make the mistakes....
A super bowl victory is the only thing that matters in a season. So to show improvement you have to get closer than we were last year. So the AFCC game is a good answer if we only match what we did last year it is a failure. The Giants were 9-7 and won it all so record or first round bye mean nothing unless you win it all-

#87Birdman wrote it- adding Manning, the Broncos should be held to it, and certain posters think otherwise and we know who you are.....

As much as McCoy makes me scratch my head at times. I'm not convinced that it's all him. I think it's a mixture of playcalling, they don't trust Tebow, and Tebow doesn't trust himself.

Find an OC that doesn't call Tebow designed runs on 3rd and long. Every time I see one of those (multiple times every game), I want to break my TV. How many times has it worked? Maybe once, twice? Once this game for sure, but it was only a few yards.

Denver fans can't have it both ways.

You can't complain about an overly conservative game plan with Tebow as the starting QB. Tebow is not a capable enough passing QB to do anything else.

That means that if you want a more wide open game plan / play calling, Tebow either needs to transcend his current abilities as passing QB or EFX need to bring in someone else that can.

Thinking that McCoy/Fox are 100% of the reason for conservative offensive play calls is simply naive.

There are a lot of complaints about the QB designed runs with Tebow. I hate it just as much as the rest of y'all, but the truth is, McCoy is calling plays that Tebow are comfortable with. Unfortunately, QB designs are one of them.

You want better playcalling? Get a better QB.

I would say draft a quarterback. Tebow is not the future. He is a highlight reel, and that's it. Don't you think that if he could pass the ball, they would let him. This draft is rich in quarterbacks and we should go out and get one. Just saying.

When you have a quarterback who can't throw the football, your hands are tied behind your back.

Throw a comeback to get some yardage for 3rd down. There are easier routes that we can do.

                        Another 3 and out.

                        Here is why:

                        Run 1st down
                        Run 2nd down

required 3rd down passing play. Kansas not fooled. Who would be. Who would be........

This isn't college. Tebow can't read defenses nor anticipate throws. What the Broncos need in the offseason is for either Tebow to get a whole lot better or a real NFL QB. Right now Tebow isn't. I don't care if he threw for 90% in college. Have you watched college secondary coverages. Guys are running wild back there. People need to stop bringing up Tebow's college numbers there is plenty of history to show there are guys that were great in college that suck in the NFL. Most pro experts will tell you this but amazing Tebow fans are oblivious to what is happening on the field. The OC literally changed their offense to what Tebow was most comfortable with. VERY FEW teams would ever do that. Tebow looked scared to death to throw the ball. Then when he did he focuses in on one receiver and never looks to his alternate receivers. I see guys running open that he doesn't even look out. Tebow right now sucks, regardless of the OC, the head coach or the spectre of John Elway.
