If Doom does get into trouble a year down the line at least we can replace him, i hope this takes a while to sort out.
Until we discover what Doom is truly charged with, it may not be the same thing.

A criminal case against Tamp Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib has been dismissed by prosecutors in Texas, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reported Monday.

Talib was facing 20 years in prison on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

Talib's lawyer, Frank Perez, told Stroud that the state's chief witness, Shannon Billings, is a sex offender and currently in jail.

"The chief complainant is a repeat child molester and has prior cases of the same nature," Perez said.

Bucs head coach Greg Schiano was concerned over the outcome of the case and where it would leave his team, but his worried can now be laid to rest.

Talib is "excited" to resume his career with a "fresh start" under Schiano, Perez told Stroud.

The Bucs released a statement Monday that read: "We're pleased that this is behind us. Aqib has had a positive offseason, which we expect will continue into training camp and the season."

It's an assault too, not assault and battery. Ergo he either fired a weapon at the guy and missed (doubtful-low bond) or just pointed the gun at him after something freaked him out. Supposedly road rage related, rumour has it.

Innocent till proven guilty guys, lets relax a bit. Just because he was arrested doesn't mean he gunned someone down on the side of a road.

My guess is someone hit his car and he lost his cool, took out a gun and started waving it about, then the cops were called. No shots fired, Talib did that and his bond was 17,500 dollars higher.

Maybe he pistol whipped a fool.

Sorry I've gotta laugh to make it ok in my mind.

But the 7500 dollar bond is very cheap so I highly doubt he shot the gun.

It's all because Dawkins wasn't there to slap some sense into him. Why'd he have to retire?

Notice how I said "tends" meaning the tendency is that nothing good comes from Miami... Not that everything that comes out of Miami is bad but the tendency is Miami's a giant cesspool and nothing good usually comes out of it.

Harvey is the 3rd best asset this team has behind Elway and Manning.
