We can sure tell who the young fans are by their opinions on numbers, can't we?

For those too young, Paul Smith was an all-pro DT for us and the first player to play 10 years for the Broncos. Smith, Tombstone Jackson and Lyle Alzado made 3/4ths of the best DL in the history of the Broncos, IMO.

How long have you been a football fan? Fifties, Sixties and Seventies have always been offensive and defensive line numbers: Dave Costa #63, Pete Duranko #55, Paul Smith #70.

I'm with you on this. 70 is flat out awful on a D-Lineman.

One of the greatest defensive linemen in Bronco History (Ring of Fame), Paul Smith, wore #70.

Congrats to him, but that doesn't make #70 look any better.

And because you don't appreciate old school doesn't make it look bad.

@samparnell - i'm 27, born in 85 into a Bronco family (Dad grew up in Glenwood Springs) so naturally I was a fan by '90. I know I know, even Karl Mecklenburg rocked the 77 and many other greats have worn stuff in the 60's and 70's. Just personally don't like it, would much rather see d-linemen in the 90's or 50's. Personnal taste i guess. Everybody simmer.
