  • At least last year games were close...

It may not have been pretty but last year we would pound the ball on the ground forever & keep our BAD defense off the field for long periods & thus the games never got out of hand & we had the chance to win late.

Now we fall behind by 20 or more heading to the 4th because we cannot run the ball at all & give it up too soon & the BAd defense comes back out & gets gashed all over the field.

We come out today & what did we do throw like the first 5 or 6 plays in a row? I know we have Manning & all & are gonna throw more but we need to stay balanced & use the run to set up some play action, because let's face it our defense is BAD!

Apparently you missed Detroit, Green Bay, New England twice and buffalo last year.

The huge holes we find ourselves in are killing us. I blame both the offensive and defensive game planning and playcalling for the first half.

Look at the Falcons D and the way they confused us. Look at the way Houston exploited our safeties with play-action. A lot of it is execution, sure, but why didn't we play more men underneath to limit Welker's effectiveness in the first half?

Why do we wait to 4th quarter to finally make adjustments? Why does it seem like we're unprepared for our opponents?

Huge questions this staff needs to answer next week...

Gren Bay was before a QB change, the first New England game we had them on the ropes early & then turned it over & the detroit game, well it was just ugly.

This has already been 3 out 5 games we have been down big in the 4th.

Yeah the games were close against the dolphins, raiders, Vikings, and the bears backups.

This team would destroy those teams by 20+.

Because we don't unleash Manning until then. But turnovers cost us this game.

I was gonna say! This may be the most delusional thread in the history of these boards.

this right here .... last year the Defense kept us in the game when it was close not Tebow and the running game sure Tebow and the running game won us the game but the Def was the one who kept it close enough

Excuses. And this wasn't Mannings fault. He didn't fumble in the red zone twice and didn't drop an easy 4th and one. Get out of here with this mess.

The difference between this year and last year is that against teams like NE, Houston and Atlanta we were still fighting even after hilarious play calls and bad mistakes.

Last year we got trampled by good teams and capitulated.
                      All in for Siemian!

right, the same defense this year that can't stop a fly, there was a reason they played better because they were rested due to our rusing attack.

We are 2-3, losing by a combined 22 points.

Last year at this point we were 1-4, and had lost one game by 26, more than ALL our losses so far this year, COMBINED in just one loss.

Yeah i get what your saying & your right but i meant after the change at QB was made, guess i should have specified that.

All i'm trying to say is we aren't trying to run the ball enough & are getting killed in the T.O.P. part of the game.
