Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

It is Watts award to lose. He is keeping up with the LBs in stats from a 3-4 DE position. That is impressive. Right now I say Vonn is 3rd or 4th. I think Aldon takes home second. Yeah he is a pass rush specialist, but right now he is the best pass rusher in the game. Tillman has fallen off but he is still in the conversation, but it is tough for a CB to take home the award
Smith? Dude has 2 sacks more than Von and loke less than half of his stats in everything else.
Aldon Smith is not a viable candidate for even 2nd place for the award. It is, and will come down to, Watt and Miller. I believe Miller has a 4+ sack game coming this thursday, so that will help too

AS has 3 more sacks, tackles AS is up by 1, and Vonn has one more pick and FF.......THe stats are quite similar. But AS is most likely going to hit 20+ sacks, and that alone is going to get him a lot of votes
Thanx Blondie79 for the sweet Sig....Love it and I will rock it with pridesigpic

How can you say Von is thrid....
This is clearly between Watt and Von. As for Smith he has sacks over Von and 0 int.t Von has almost twice the amount of TFL and will also hit 20 sacks so he should easily beat Smith. Also von has 2 more FF and more tackle..
last year suggs won the DPOY all the while jarred allen had the massive stack season. suggs had alot of forced fumbles which what i think gave him the edge. von has TFL sacks FF int and a TD now. he has countless hurries and qb hits so i think the stat side is lopsided to von.
Society has become sad in that regard. Working on finishing up my masters degree and I see more stupidity from the youth on a daily basis than one should. Hopefully voters look at the bigger picture and just how much Miller changes team game plans and is a one man wrecking crew.
Not to get off topic, but I really doubt today's youth is just suddenly more idiotic than any generation of youth in the past. I'm sure people just have a much bigger window into the youth than they ever have before with things like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and the stuff they see shocks them, and they can't really remember feeling that way previously. Difference is there was no access before, kids weren't suddenly smarter.
Cecil Lammey @cecillammey Von Miller w/27 tackles on rushing plays this yr. On those plays, runners have averaged negative yds, losing 0.3 yds per rush (best in NFL)
Smith is only used to rush the passer. Watt is used in run support and pass rushing, while Von is used in run support, dropping back in coverage as well as rushing the passer. Von is doing what the coaches ask him to do. DPOY is the last thing he is worried about. Nice if he gets it, but the Lombardi is the goal. Player of the year awards as well as MVPs and such are nothing more than a popularity contest voted on by fans and pears. As with all voting, people tend to cast their vote on the person or persons they like the most and not always is it deserved.
