With the Broncos winning the AFC West outright, they are assured of one of the top 4 playoff seeds. They also assured themselves of at least one home playoff game. However, should they garner one of the top 2 seeds, it is as though they had already won one playoff game, securing a bye in the first round and giving the team an extra week to rest and prepare.
