  • Who replaces Matthew Willis on Special Teams?

Seriously I think we will miss having him. On every one of our kickoff / punt return TDs last year Matt laid someone out, almost like he had a knack for making the most important block.

Didn't really care for him as a WR but dude was a very good special team guy, hopefully someone can step up and fill that spot.

My money would be on Webster, Bolden, or either Carter.

Most likely Webster who can tackle and has some serious wheels
A healthy Kenneth Dixon is a top 5 NFL RB.

Those STs count, especially when Trindon Holiday is putting 6 points on the board...

agreed, ST's just as important as Offense and Defense. it dictates field position, can allow you to get points or give points away, definitely it counts.

I would say either a rookie or a 2nd year guy will take that spot.

or Tavarres King. He won't be seeing the field much on O.

Tavarres King doesn't play special teams, nor has he at UGA. I'd say Gerrell Robinson would be the WR that will take over Willis' spot. If I had to choose a replacement regardless of position, it would be Kayvon Webster.

How do you know he won't here? He'll be our 4th or 5th receiver.

Thats the kind of thinking that lead us to being horrible at special teams for so long

Matthew Willis rotated in on offense for every starting WR in every game last year so with king taking his roster spot I assume king will be seeing the field quiet a bit

Man am I glad you arn't running the team. Good lord.

But yea, good question. Maybe Webster, or maybe 1 of the guys battling for the 4th or 5th WR spot. We've turned the corner on special teams the past few years. Its nice to enjoy watching all 3 phases of the team play. Last year was the first time thats happened in a long time.

ST is the only reason we were ahead in the playoff game last season so I would say that it is a big deal.

I actually think Greg Orton might be the guy that replaces Matt in general on the team. I have heard he had a great camp last week and is willing to put the work in wherever the Broncos need him since he obviously isn't going to be a top 3 receiver on the roster this year.
