So Fua is supposed to stop 2 additional pulling blockers and a fullback,,, me thinks you have set the bar a tad bit high for the new guy.

Fua is supposed to maintain gap discipline. Anyone that has ever played the game of football in the defensive front 7 understands what I am talking about, rather than playing disciplined Fua played selfish and tried to make a play while also playing soft. He fired high out of his stance, gave up his gap discipline allowing three blockers to crash his gap without any traffic and while doing so he stood there allowing the blocker to put his helmet on his outside shoulder and at no point did he look up, try to get separation or anything to course correct and fill his gap. This defense is predicated on keeping our linebackers clean so they can flow to the play. Every defensive lineman but Fua did their jobs. Again, it's clear why this guy was an unclaimed free agent until big Vick got hurt

It doesn't matter dude, had he stood in his gap, he is not going to stop 3 blockers, using your same logic the linebackers had as much opportunity to get into the hole and make a stop, stop trying to pin it on one guy - Everyone here knows Fua is not a blue chip player, what people are saying is that he did OK for his first game on an unfamiliar team, can you live with that?

I understand the argument that he is supposed to maintain gap discipline, but in a goal line situation, defenses have to sell out or they can't make the stop. Unless you know the game plan, it is possible that the whole reason he gave up his gap discipline was to sell out to the middle and thus open the gap not only for the offense, but for his second line behind him, and entrusting them to go and be able to get up field fast enough to engage the pulling blockers and the FB deep enough in the backfield to get to Greene before he hit the LOS and the hole. IMO, if Fua's man was able to come off of him and engage the other defenders and help Greene score by blocking them the Fua definitely did not do his job in that case.

Not against the Titans but the game against the Chiefs I saw Huff on ST's he was very good at jogging at a slow pace and looking like he didn't care.

I saw the same in both games. Just look for 29 not even trying on kick coverage. Very disappointing Huff is a guy at the time I wished we would of drafted, same with Landry, Michael Griffen or any of the talented safties from 05/06. Super fast with a ton of potential but guess its all for not. Still happy to have him on Madden though lol

No way I trust a practice squad player in the playoffs. Preseason success doesnt translate to the Reg season well, let alone playoffs.
dont let him pull dat move on ya, dont let him pull that move.......................oh no dats da move! TOUCHDOWN!!!

                I tried to warn ya.

This is why he was cut from Baltimore. He wants to have a role on defense but he's going to have to earn it on special teams

The most glaring thing I saw was Fua not lining up properly. There was more than one occasion he attempted to line up on the wrong side of the line and he had to move at the last second. He's still lost.

I do hope Huff can return to closer to form instead of the shadow of his former self. He could still contribute.

If his job was to stunt inside which it,clearly wasn't judging by what him and the rest of the defense did (unless del rio started designing plays like a child), then he did a terrible job at that as well. He just wasn't good a all, don't know why anyone is defending him. It's to be expected. He wasn't on an nfl team

It is very interesting you mention this. I was watching the past few games and when Caldwell has been called on he has made errors nearly everytime. Dropped passes mainly. I was thinking then we should see Robinson get called upon to step up and see what he can do. I think that with DT having some reoccurring shoulder injuries that having another guy to plug into DT style routes would be a good thing.

He doesn't have DT style speed.
