Ditka is the same idiot that said Shanahan won the Superbowls cause of Reeves. He also traded a hole draft for one player. The only reason he won a SB is cause of Buddy Ryans defense and if Ditka had his way, Ryan would not have been o that team. I take anything he says or does very lightly.

John Fox and Cutler might have some improvement but they have 3 big problems right off the bat

      1- Green Bay
      2- Detroit
      3- Minnesota

Good Luck. Cutler comes in a distant 4th place behind those QB's.

Rodgers and Lacey and Jordy Nelson, Stafford and Megatron, Bridgewater and AP ....talk about an uphill battle
The beatings will continue until morale improves....

Spot on. The Chicago faithful will be calling for Fox's head before week 12.

Ditka's an idiot... and I grew up in Chicago as a Bears fan when Iron Mike was playing like a stud TE.

          His brain is now mush.

John Fox is a good coach and a good guy. But he lacks the instinct and savvy to take his teams to the next level. I mean, he was an okay coach in Carolina, although I will give him a bit of a pass there because he was mostly working with average talent. He comes to Denver, has arguably one of the best (if not THE best) rosters in the NFL for 3 of the 4 years he was here, with a quarterback playing at a historic level, and he gets ousted in the first round of the playoffs in 2 of those years and then blasted in the Super Bowl the other year. As good as Fox's record was here, we really under-performed given our talent level and it was clear after this season we had peaked under him. It tells you everything that the most impressive move Fox made in his entire coaching career was telling Jay Glazer that he would be fired if he lost against the Colts in order to keep the Chicago gig open for him.

I believe he will find marginal success in Chicago, however, because the one thing he does do well is win within his division. But he's not going to be a Super Bowl winning coach, especially with Jay Cutler as his quarterback.

                THAT.....is stupid.

Ditka was a great, transcendent player.....but a meat head coach, and wouldn't know a smart football management choice if it hit him in the face!
I was going to say this along with he didn't get Walter Payton a Superbowl td and coached a horrible offense.

Could've been fired after the Baltimore debacle. Definitely should have been after the Super Bowl blowout.

From a psychological perspective, I am fascinated in Elway having hired Reeves 2.0 in the first place.

I look at it like building a house, after 2010 the Broncos were just a big open pit in the ground, they hired Fox and he came in and helped build a foundation, he did a good job of that and got things ready so they could build the house.
The house couldn't have been built without that foundation but John Fox is a foundation specialist and you need another guy to finish the house for you. I just hope Gary Kubiak is like John Gruden in Tampa and finishes building that house not like Norval in SD where he managed to burn the thing to the ground.
