  • Big Ben and Antonio Brown "Injuries"

Anyone have any doubt that both Big Ben and Antonio are both playing on Sunday?

I for one don't believe a word that comes out of Big Ben, guy loves to play up every single injury ever to keep the tough guy persona going.

As for Brown, watching the replay it sure didn't look like he got hit in the head but rather the shoulder.

Time will tell I guess but my bet is on them both playing sunday after miraculously overcoming their injuries.

I'm sure Big Ben will play, but he'll be far from 100%

Big Ben is playing. Odds are that Antonio Brown will too. DeAngelo Williams is not quite as likely to play

Aqib Talib says they are preparing for Roethlisberger and Brown to play. I think what matters most is that we get our players healthy. We lost in Week 15 because we had our top safeties out. We get them back and play up to our potential and we can beat them with their best players.

Ben Roethlisberger's status for Sunday's Divisional Round game is very much in doubt.

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback revealed during a radio interview Tuesday that he has torn ligaments in his throwing shoulder in addition to a sprained AC joint.

Roethlisberger said he is "definitely sore" and has yet to test the shoulder since Saturday's wild-card win over the Bengals.

"I'll go in tomorrow with the intent to see what I can do," Roethlisberger told KDKA-FM in Pittsburgh. "I honestly don't know. I haven't tried to throw a football since the game, and maybe that's not even the right thing to do right away.

            Every game, all season

"I'll see the doctors and trainers tomorrow, we'll evaluate kind of how I feel. If anything, maybe I can practice and hand off and still get some mental reps that way. So we'll really just kind of see how it goes tomorrow."

Roethlisberger left during the third quarter on Saturday, and was carted to the locker room before returning in the fourth quarter to lead Pittsburgh to an 18-16 comeback victory. Roethlisberger was clearly limited upon his return, but the Steelers' season was saved by consecutive personal foul penalties by the Bengals that set up the game-winning field goal.

"It didn't hurt when I reached back to throw," Roethlisberger said of the final possession. "But it was pushing forward to throw and then the end of the throw. So I definitely felt like I was shortening up my motion up a little bit, which is why we threw some screens, and couldn't really get the ball down the field. ... I think it just more affected how I could throw it."

The admission that Roethlisberger has ligament damage is killer news for the Steelers, who now stand a very real chance of starting Landry Jones on Sunday against the top-seeded Broncos in Denver.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin told reporters Tuesday that Big Ben will be managed day to day, and "has a chance" to play. Roethlisberger will likely be a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, and will ramp up his workload throughout the week.

Roethlisberger has surprised us before with his ability to work through injuries, but playing this weekend would be impressive even by his standards.

Well, that's a good philosophy, because Landry Jones isn't exactly bringing anything new or unusual to the table.

We should prepare as if they are all 100%. I think Antonio Brown is going to play, They are trying to throw the Broncos off. We should also be careful, their players are so dirty we should not get caught up in their mind games.

Roethlisberger does play up injuries, but I don't see him going on local radio and straight up lying about it. If he's got torn ligaments, he will be in a ton of pain. Sounds like him playing the whole game would be a stretch, and hopefully what he does play is not good!!

Brown is in the concussion protocol so he needs to clear that first. With Ben if he plays through the pain i say more power to him. With or without these guys on the other side i like our chances at home with 76,000+ screaming fans

Big Ben likely plays, but if we can get pressure on him we will be fine. He said he can't throw deep without significant pain.

As for Brown, the way he came down looked bad. I don't see him clearing the concussion protocol in time to play. Even if he does, I don't see him beating us deep with Bens busted shoulder.

It's looking like we are finally getting some luck with both being Questionable...which naturally being a Broncos fan.....scares the hell out of me.

they will both be out there. DW will not play, believe he went to a speacialist today.

BR will be all "novocained up". AB will be out there, somehow.

Big Ben will start but once Derek Wolfe gets to him he'll be out of the game...

Brown laid motionless on the ground from the concussion for quite a while. I can't see him playing. Big Ben would play with a cast if he had to.
