Our team was utter garbage until the sheriff turned it around. The pieces were on the table but it took Peyton and 4 division titles to get the cookies.

With out Peyton Manning and the respect of veterans he was able to lure this team there would be no superbowl in Denver.

You handle Peyton poorly, this team will be in the dark ages come FA time for years to come.

You don't hire a guy like Ari Fleisher to manage your reputation unless there's a problem. Manning would be wise to retire without a spectacle and lay low for a year or two. Things can go south even for a guy like Manning.

There is an honest chance he could be better at 40 then he was at 39. Peyton can also go over seas to receive treatment thats not available in the states . Dont discount him because of his age.

there is a reason TYJE and Kubes dressed TS all year, and when PM went out for 7 weeks you do realize that TS was our #2 QB and if OZ got hurt he would have been the starter which he did actually take a couple of snaps before halftime cause OZ was shaken up.

So in light of these events, maybe TS is further along than you want to give him credit for b/c Kubes sure must of trusted him enough to let the vet go in Ponder and kept Trevor as the #2 QB on the depth chart. And as I sad was the #2 QB while Peyton was out speaks volumes too me.

So there is that to base how much Kubes thinks of the kid.

They didn't dress him all year long, only in the games where he was the backup, the other games he was part of the 7 man inactive list. The rules used to state that a QB could be part of your 7 man inactive list but still dress in case of an absolute emergency where the other 2 QBs are injured however if he enters the game the other 2 QBs can not take another snap in that game. Not sure if that rule still exists that way but it's different than dressing a QB all year.

Perhaps he's further along, but it's also very possible that him becoming backup said more about Christian Ponder than it does Siemian. It doesn't really matter though, Siemian will be a part of the team this year (Ponder obviously won't) but it's very very unlikely that he's the starter in 2016 unless due to injury. Players don't often go from being the 11th ranked QB in the Big 10 to an NFL starter in 18 months.

Yes, I would rather spend that on either of those two than having Siemian start. You say they can't do any better than Siemian but both have actually achieved things in the NFL, Siemian has done literally nothing in the NFL, I'm not sure how anyone can believe in someone they've never seen do anything?

The differences between Wilson and Siemian are many and enormous: Wilson performed at a high level at NC State and then performed at a high level at Wisconsin after being a graduate transfer. Wilson was then a fairly well thought of prospect going into the draft, although people did question his height, and was drafted in the 2nd round. Siemian was drafted 250th overall and was the last pick QB picked in the draft. In college he put up 27 touchdowns and 24 interceptions in 44 games.

Perhaps he develops, but the old saying "he's two years away from being two years away" seem like a pretty on point phrase to use for him going into the draft last year.

No more Manning please....he got carried to both his superbowls, let him retite in my opinion as the most overrated qb of all time, next to favre and terry bradshaw. He almost cost us the superbowl and left 20 points on the field

Wow. What's your criteria for overrated? 2 most winning QB's in NFL history in Favre and Manning. 7 SB wins in the QB's you mentioned. All will end up as HOFers. Favre and Manning are just .500 in SB's, but have 3 between them. Bradshaw has pedestrian stats, but is 4-0 in SB's and 2 time MVP. And Bradshaw is hardly ever rated as a top 5 QB of all time.

Sounds great...except he might get that much without the stipulations somewhere else.

Everyone agrees it would be awesome to have performance incentives in all of our big contracts...but that's not going to be a competitive approach in the free agency market. You are bidding against other teams for these players' services, and a guy is not going to trade a roster bonus for a Super Bowl appearance bonus.
