Connor McGovern will definitely be on the roster, but I didn't see any other O-Linemen last night who seem like they will. Dillon Day and Robert Myers might end up on the PS. Denver's pro scouts are pretty good. They might find other O-Line candidates for the PS. Kubiak said Ty Sambrailo will return to practice next week, so it sounds like he won't end up on IR.

Hopefully he leaves this "different technique" at home.

I said it when it happened and I'll say it again, was 1.6 million really worth having bad punts and looming questions over your defense? The idea is to run the hell out of the ball and play outstanding defense, but it's hard to stop the other team when your punter is giving them 18 yarders.

Not only that, he looks nervous as hell, both on holds and punts. Hopefully he grows into it, but again if I can see this on bits and pieces of a televised preseason game, makes me wonder what the coaches saw in him to release Britton...

I fully expect to see fumbled punt snaps and blocks this year. Head scratching decision...
A change in technique can be something as small as what he's doing with his eyes, where he is trying to make contact, where he drops it, etc. Just anything new that he may not be comfortable with doing yet. Not some new breakthrough form or anything. It's highly doubtful you'd be able to recognize the difference that easily.

I'm watching the game now. Did you guys hear the Spanish interpretation going on at the same time? It's driving me crazy. The announcers and the Spanish are going at the same time. Holy smokes. It's maddening.

Heard that. Curious how much of that is a HC protecting his rookie from negative scrutiny though.

The "new technique" explanation is questionable IMO. Why now? What technique? And most importantly, if he had practiced this new technique in practice it likely was effective. Then wasn't in the game. Still back on the player, not the technique IMO.

The reasoning does not hold up for me. As I said, I am going to chalk this up to just rookie jitters and not the type of miscues Dixon will have every so often. Would have felt better if he would have had a big kick later in the game as a counter to his stinkers.

He had a good game, I wonder if it'll be enough? I can't see Hillman, Bibbs and Thompson all being kept, but you never know. It'll be interesting to see who the odd man out is if they don't keep all three that appeared to be on the bubble heading into the game.

I think he's done more than enough to be the backup at ILB, he might even see the field in specific packages this season.

I think Jordan Taylor also did more than enough to make the final 53, he looks likely to be the #6 WR behind Fowler, Latimer and Norwood. Another receiver that has quietly impressed me throughout the preseason is Mose Frazier. His chemistry with Paxton Lynch has definitely aided him, but he's also made some clutch catches over the course of the four games. Surely he has to make the practice squad?

As expected and already mentioned, the offensive line was poor in pass protection. Another disappointment for me was Adam Gotsis, he was shoved around/backwards quite a bit.

Dixon was a disaster. Going hope this was just a preseason stinker due to nerves and not going to show up every couple games. Have to think Colquitt was having a nice smirk at the Broncos expense last night. Have to wonder if this cost cutting move is going to bite the Broncos in the butt at some point this season.

Was disappointed with the o-line overall. Were not even competitive most of the time. . Could not run the ball or protect Lynch. Luckily most of those guys are not likely on the team after tomorrow. Just going to hope that the starters remain healthy and the injured players can play if needed. Oline depth is going to be a concern all season long. The effectiveness of Cardinal run game is what I was envisioning for the Broncos this season. Work to be done before next week.

Do not envy Kubiak having to make these cuts. Some good players are going to get lost in the numbers game. Good for the team and fans though.

I hope we keep an eye out for punters. Got a big feeling Dixon is a shankapottamus rex.

This is the first game they've won this preseason and didn't look terrible, so I'd say no to your first question.

Ok and yet he played well last game. He is a rookie and will have some ups and downs. That said people seem to forget that last year our punting was god awful.

My main impression from this game is that we need Britton Colquitt back. Dixon can't be the punter and holder. This can be a major problem.
