If you're playing a split front and normally rush four, but drop a lineman and send a DB instead, it's still four but it's called Zone Blitz. That's the way it goes with terminology.

Each coach has his own system and calls it what he wants. To me a stunt is Slant, Pinch, Loop or Angle and if it involves a Backer, it's a Twist. But, that's just me. Wade often sent five and played a lot of Cover 1, but I remember a game where he made a lot of calls that sent three and played a lot of zone. There are a number of possibilities which need to be used in order to give OCs and QBs more to worry about.

Manning was a master at reading defensive alignments and coverages, but he could be fooled. I remember seeing him picked on Cover 2 Robber, Zone Blitz and 3-3-5 alignments. It happened because defenders appeared where he didn't expect them to be.
Personally I'd call 5 a blitz, but it's just funny how aggravated he gets by it and how he'll immediately dig in to debate that issue. I guess we all get like that from time to time.

In Canada it's definitely pop, you get odd looks if you refer to it as soda. Unless you're talking about soda water.

Isn't "Pop" just short for Soda pop?

I keep hearing great things about Walker besides getting laid on his butt. But his jump on the snap and explosiveness to get to the QB. And even in the run game. I am so excited to watch this guy become the next dominate force on our D.
