Good lord, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we fail to win any of our remaining games this season.
And even though it might be very tempting to call for VJ's ouster if we do lose to the Raiders, it's still Elway's responsibility to find us a true legitimate successor to Manning. If he can't fulfill that duty, then he needs to step aside and let someone else solve our QB problem.

Hopefully this year we do it right and lose to the raiders. Not like last season winning that meaningless game final week of season.
This year should be all about getting as high as pick as possible. Maybe trading players to get more picks or even trading very high pick to get offensive pieces cause this team needs them going forward.

As for retired (Shanahan and Gruden) coaches and college coaches, these guys aren't dumb, they'll have heard things from people about what might be available and they'll know where they want to end up or at least where they have their own interest in, and if it's not Denver they'll want to wait to see how it plays out before they make any commitment.
Bringing it back to the Broncos, they know who they'll be interested in if they replace the coach, they'll be doing due diligence now (under the radar of course) to identify red flags or find out if there might be mutual interest. Firing Joseph now instead of at the end of the season won't speed up anything, or give the Broncos an advantage, it'll just signal to the fanbase that they're making a change for sure in 2018.

I did this once before when Orton was obviously not the answer and it worked! The team benched Orton and played Tebow. The Billboard created the media to put so much pressure on the team to play Tebow they caved and played him. I love this team, I hate seeing the poor play week in and week out. These players are showing no fire. Firing wade was a huge mistake, allowing this to go any longer with Vance would be another mistake.
Being that bad is how we got Von Miller and because of him we won a SB, so like it or not you should be hoping we lose out to get what we've been looking for, a really good QB, hopefully we have a high enough of a pick it is a no brainer.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wouldn't be surprised if we get two more wins somewhere, even if we bring back Trevor if Paxton is really, really bad. Like Nathan Peterman who was so bad in his debut go pulled by halftime, then with Trevor we may actually win some games if he plays like he did in the first two weeks.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Of the currently top 13 team picks in the draft, we play 5 of those teams the rest of the way (Raiders, Chargers, Dolphins, Jets, Colts) and we've already played and lost to 2 others (Bengals, Giants). We currently hold the tiebreaker over the Raiders and ChargersOnly way to guarantee a top 5 pick is to lose against all 5 of the Raiders, Chargers, Dolphins, Jets, Colts

It would be interesting if Oakland is one pick ahead of us and we are both picking in the top five, I am sure they would considering trading out to any top 10 or 15 team that needs a QB. So we would have to bargain with a team ahead of them to get the QB we want and if that is a team with a QB need too, we are screwed.
Right now, this is how the standings look for top draft picks
Browns 0 wins
49ers 1 win
Giants, Indy 2 wins
Bears, Broncos 3 wins
Dolphins, Jets, Chargers, Raiders, Bengals, Texans, Redskins, Cardinals, Bucs all have 4 wins
Wow, if the season ended today and a team only had 4 wins, they may pick 15th. 3 wins may get you a 6th pick.
You know that the 49ers will sell their pick to the highest bidder. They are making a business out of picking and trading out of this position.
Browns still play the Bears, Chargers and Bengals, so that make work out to our favor assuming the Browns win.
Ironically, Paxton may be the pawn we need to get the real QB we need! Go Paxton!
On the bright side, we have a good relationship with the 49ers, we might want to trade positions and maybe throw in Von Miller and no additional picks. I know it sounds crazy, but Von is a huge bargaining chip that not many teams can match. Shoot, Cleveland might even take that offer.Last edited by haciendadad; 11-21-2017, 05:55 AM.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
