There have been way worse quarterbacks to win a superbowl.

        LOL, game manager.....

Wikipedia definition of Game manager quarterback.....

"In American football, a game manager is a quarterback who, despite relatively poor individual statistics such as passing yards and touchdowns, performs well enough to win games. Game managers often benefit from strong defense and rushing offense on their teams."

So his statistics are poor, he benefits from superior defensive help and a strong rushing attack? Teddy freaking Bridgewater is a game manager, not Cousins.

My definition of a game manager is Alex Smith and Cousins might be his long lost brother. If we sign Cousins I will be sick.

better get your puke bag ready then. 3 players and the head coach from the Broncos have already advocated for him and are practically sponsoring him in interviews

            • Interesting take on the DT contract.

Abridged version: Troy Renck stated Friday on The Fan that If the Broncos decline to pick up his contract options, the hit to the cap that results is "a manageable figure" (about $3.1 mill)

With what Denver 7’s Troy Renck called a “wrinkle” in Demaryius Thomas’ contract, the longest-tenured Broncos players could be facing either a restructure this offseason or the door out of Dove Valley.

Renck, who joined Big Al and DMac on Friday, explained that Thomas has a $4 million option that, if the Broncos do not exercise, would void the final two years of his contract, making him a free agent.

And, according to Renck, the dead money against Denver’s cap, should that be the path the club takes, would be just less than $3.1 million — $4.4 million minus the $1.3 million of Thomas’ bonus already absorbed in the cap space.

“If they don’t pick it up, they can void the remainder of the contract,” Renck said. “and the dead cap money would, depending on how you look at it, be reasonable at $3.1 million.”

It’s a situation that makes Thomas vulnerable, as Renck wrote Friday, this offseason.

According to Spotrac.com, Thomas’ cap hit for the Broncos would be $12.033 million and $17.533 million in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

But, if Thomas and the Broncos can’t agree on a restructure, it’s a “manageable figure,” Renck said, for Denver to move on from the wide receiver if the team opts to “completely overhaul and reshape” its roster.

“You’d love to see him retire here. He’s a Ring of Famer,” Renck said. “I’m not trying to run the guy out of town. I’m just playing the economics of it that that’s a manageable figure if you choose to move on.”

Interesting. He must be able to see things in the contract we can't via Spotrac.com. That certainly would make him vulnerable if that information is correct.

Actually, it is on Spotrac: See Here

The $1,333,333 you see in the column "Option" is the $4 Million option referenced in the articles spread across years 2017-2019. That option has not yet been exercised. If it isn't the only dead money is the 2 years remaining of his original $11 million signing bonus. (2 x $2,200,000 = $4,400,000). The thing is, then the 2017 cap hit would lower by $1,333,333 because the option wouldn't have been accepted. This can be rolled over into the 2018 year. Thus you get the figure mentioned in the article. ($4,400,000 - $1,333,333 = $3,066,667).

Overthecap has the same information, except they include the $4 million bonus in the "Prorated" column for 2017-2019. Again, without the option the "prorated" amount would only be $2,200,000 for 2017-2019. Giving you the same cap hit as calculated above.
