  • Flacco is not the answer but he is better than anything we have had in years.

As long as we do not do anything stupid with his contract and can release him at any time without taking a huge cap hit I am good.
Time to build on the win and grow the team from some solid play higher level of play

    • More of the same. Plays bad enough to help us lose while also looking good enough in spurts for people to defend him.

There's no more defending him. The record speaks for itself.

Once Lock is healthy they need to play him.

He truly is not better than what we've had. He is more of the same.

Also, not sure how you missed it, but we restructured his contract. If we cut him after this year we incur a 13.6m dead cap hit.

Flacco held up his end, 200 yards on the ground...

The Broncos have tons of cap space next season, however. The dead cap hit isn't as big of a deal as people are making it seem to be.

He is what he is. You can win with him if you have a great defense and running game. You can win with damn near any QB with that kind of support.

                • Can Denver go at least 1 game with out Turning The Ball Over at the QB Position??? Joe needs to retire his Time in the NFL has came and gone...0-4 is still 0-4...

                  • Flacco doesn't need a great defense. He does however need some defense. That was a collapse/choke.

                    • Another solid performance by Flacco. Too bad that the Head Coach didn't see the fact that his Defense can't stop the run during OTAs, Training Camp, Pre-season, and the first 4 games. Time to switch back to the 4 man line. Unfortunately, I don't believe Fangio is up to the task. Too bad.

How about can we have a 4th qrt lead without the defense being a weak seive, giving up another game winning Fg

His INT was GIGANTIC and it did mark the pivotal swing in momentum that never really changed after that - but it was the whole JAX team who played with that physicality that ours didn't ........
It wasn’t just the INT. Flacco made a terrible throw on an out route with a wide open target. That was a 3rd down opportunity to move the sticks. He had a deep ball that was under thrown that should have been an easy reception (wind aside every Flacco fan talks about his arm strength). The dump off to Hamilton was so weak he had to wait for the ball and then catch it low. Flacco didn’t play well after the INT. The late drive was against a prevent defense.

How about a QB who won’t throw a game changing INT with two wide open receivers on crossing routes?

So not moving the ball at all until late in the 4th is on the defense? Flacco's inability to move around completely screwed us. That and abandoning the run and giving up on Lindsay after he had a very good 1st half is curious....

INTs aren't as big of a deal as fans make it seem, unless they just happen all the time.

Flacco played fine. If this was the 2011 or 2015 teams this is a win. The problem is that this team is so depleted with talent and Flacco isn't much more than a game manager, that you can't win with him. So if you can't win with him, may as well start the rookie as soon as he's ready regardless of how well Flacco's stats may appear.
