Rookie QBs usually are. You play them because you’re looking toward the future. You play old vets like Flacco to win now. Right now we are 1-4 and are scoring 18 ppg.

1-4 is not a reflection on Flacco but the team.
Flacco put us up in the final minutes of two game and we couldn’t hold on.
This last week we held on and the 20 pts the offense put up won the game.
Drew Lock hasn’t even been healthy while Flacco has shown up and kept grinding despite the teams record. That’s what leaders do, Lock has not earned anything.

What an absurd statement. He is the starting QB of an offense that is scoring 18 ppg. It’s more a reflection of him than anyone else.

He put us in the lead in the final seconds vs Chicago and final minute vs Jacksonville and the defense couldn’t hold the lead.

            • And if he'd have build up a lead earlier in the game, the defense would have had more gas in the tank to hold, instead it was three and out city...

It baffles me that people can defend 18 points per game as if that is enough to win games. Even with an elite defense, 18 points per game is a hard ask.

In 2015, we averaged 22.2 points per game. In 2012, the flacco led Ravens scored 24.9 points per game.... The 2000 Ravens, the worst offense to ever win the Superbowl averaged 20.8... but yet some of you here still think the offense is just fine and the defense needs to step up?

You are actually expecting our defense to carry the team like those former elite defenses did?

I can't grasp how you guys are struggling with understanding our frustration here. 18 points a game is bad folks, it's brutally bad... It's only BECAUSE of the defense those games were even close to begin with. You cannot expect a defense to hold an opposing offense to so few points all game without some help from the offense to take the pressure off.

Preaccccch. I agree 100%...I think it sooo crazy when some say flacco put us in a position to win. Well the first 3 1/2 quarters he put us in position to lose. Def has never had a comfortable lead. The def will make mistakes sometimes but the flacco lead offense doesn't give our def much wiggle room. Lock needs to start like yesterday.

Please stop with this injury stuff. That's a complete cover up. That man thumb did take 8-10 weeks to heal are you serious? He didn't even need surgery. Brees will be back before him and he had surgery. It was a cover-up bc Elway knows that if flacco didn't play well which he's not that fans would be calling for lock and it would be headlines. Elway bought so time in hopes flacco will play better which he won't.

Nope just people who are realistic. I'm for one are not one of those that believe Elway can do no wrong.

Oh no ...we have people that think Elway is the reason for our last superbowl.

Do you think that Peyton would of signed with Denver if Elway wasn't the GM here?

There are specific rules here. The defense is expected to play 4 quarters, start to finish and never falter. The offense can lapse for an entire half or quarter and that’s fine. The defense is expected to hold opponents from scoring on every drive, no excuses. The offense should be ranked 27th in red zone efficiency. If the defense did their job the offense should be able to be 27th and win games.

Remember the rules here (sarcasm, of course)

Depending on wh the GM was at that time. So I can't say. But the thing is it was a choice that manning made. Did you think we would have made two superbowl appearances and won one if peyton signed with the 49ers instead of the Broncos. Two ways you can look at that.

Of course we don't, Peyton was the reason for all the other free agents that came with him and he signed with Denver because of Elway. He sold him on the fact that Elway did it late in his career and he knew what to add around him. We had the cap space to build the team up. Elway whether you like it or not is 100% responsible for the success and Superbowl victory

You're not alone in this thinking, it's a tin-foil hatter that a lot of us subscribe to. Even those in the media. Sad, add it to the list of questionable Elway decisions.
