I remember a few years back when we sign an "old" quarterback, considered a has been by many, named Manning. He took us to the super bowl and we won! Flacco in no Manning, but lets give Joe a chance. He is not as accurate as he used to be - but...who knows.

I was hoping we consider Foles, I guest he is out of consideration?

And really, no surprise whatsoever. Flacco, a Superbowl MVP, certainly had his way with the Broncos more than once over his career. Now we can put the idea to rest that a QB will be taken in the 1st Round.. Clearly, John Elway has put the lesson into action he has learned of Drafting QBs, that has never worked out for the Broncos, versus going for a top Veteran (a la Peyton Manning).

GREAT MOVE if Flacco still has something in the tank. Frankly, I would have preferred a 30-year old Foles, but he may have been too expensive.

It’s acrually now perceived as a gaurantee Elway takes a QB at 10 to learn for 1 maybe 2 years tops from Flacco.

I am wondering how Flaco's strengths meld with the new OC's style of Offense? Given what was seen this year, we will be a run oriented team next year, with Flaco's big arm keeping defensive backs honest so the run game has more room to bust one.

Cannot bring myself to even understand the move. I get we need a QB, obviously. But Joe Flacco was at the very bottom of the list when it came to possible “answers” at the position. I really do not understand it. Flacco is not even a mediocre QB in the NFL right now. He is Keenum level— or worse. The statistics and relevant advanced metrics all indicate such.

Was really hoping this franchise could turn a new leaf with a young, dynamic QB with either Murray or Haskins. This move is just incredibly disappointing through and through. Flacco is undoubtedly a proven QB, but a QB proven to be below average. This will set us back a few seasons.
