Great pash rushes come from more than 2 players.
we should also include ability of the DBs to cover.

Exactly, if our corners are so bad they have to play ten yards off we’ll never get to the quarterback

The notion Von and Chubb are best ever is embarrassing. They have one year.

Off the top of my head:
        -Deacon Jones and Merlin Olsen
-Alan Page and Carl Eller (and Jim Marshall)
        -Derrick Thomas and Neil Smith

And I am sure there are ten others. Show us for several years!

yea the more I watched film of how outside pass rushers are blocked I start to understand why inside pass rushers get more double teams. Once a pass rushers has shown the ability to beat the one vs one pretty much only way to stop inside guys is to double team them while there are other options for outside pass rushers.

Once a defense has shown the ability to wreck an offense from the inside it really opens up the outside guys to shine bright.
Time to build on the win and grow the team from some solid play higher level of play

That's an extremely valid point. If we're going to do well in pass rush this year, our corners have to be on their game. We need Chris Harris here this year or you can forget about the pass rush being anything special.

I think Dwight Freeny and Robert Mathis were pretty darn good....

I also think in 2 or 3 years we will be including Von and Chubb, but not yet
