Elway is the problem. Simple as that. He hasn't hired a coach worth a damn in his last 2 hires. Frankly he got lucky when Manning fell in his lap. Not sure Kubiak was a great hire either. Fox was a mistake. His drafting of QB's is suspect. Dude needs to go.

Pump the breaks. Fox made the play-offs with Tebow and took Denver to a Super Bowl and Kubiak won one with Manning a shell of himself. You can be ready to move on from Elway without trashing what he accomplished previously and re-writing history.

The Vikings draft this year was awesome and Kubiak directly recommended at least a couple picks. He certainly has an eye.

The draft picks have been doing very well. I think this year I'm saying Denver drafts Albert Okwuegbunam TE from Missouri in the 3rd. I think this will be Heurman's replacement. Gives Lock another familiar weapon, and cements our 2-TE set of the future.

Elway's last two drafts are starting to look pretty good.

Yes...it's obvious Elway dramatically changed how they rate players going from potential to production and leadership.

This was actually the biggest issue I had over Shanny being fired. Yes, his drafts weren't good but his last one was one of the greatest drafts in Bronco history. Ted Sundquist was fired and the Goodmans took over that year. Then they and Shanny were fired.

This is why I was hesitant to fire Elway without knowing his replacement. He self-scouted and changed his philosophy.

I like it, but I'm not convinced Okwuegbunam won't be a first rounder. If he runs well in the spring, he will be.

Based on what we know at this point in time would anyone here trade Fant and Lock for Devin Bush? Remember we got both when Elway traded down with Pittsburgh and they took Bush...although we did trade another pick to move up to get Lock. What was the pick?

Got to go with the potential of a QB. If Lock becomes the franchise, we win that trade everyday and twice on Sundays.
