Kelly and Sloter are on practice squads. Pretty sure we could just sign them without having to trade for them. And they're still both the best QBs we've had since Manning.

Oh yea let have another QB competition, how about..... we just start the guy we drafted, you know LOCK? Or we can just keep doing what John Elways loves to do and grab everyone's backup QB and see who win, and then we can have the best Backup QB as our starter again.

A competiton could do us a lot of good. All we've seen the past couple seasons is the team sticking with a crappy option saying firmly, "he's the starter," until the fans get so angry that we start booing that they have to make a change. Maybe the staff should stop pretending that the "veteran" is the answer to our offensive problems.

I'd move on from Flacco asap. Basically give the fans hope that a new day is coming. Save some cash if you can, make a statement that Lock will start when he is ready, UNLESS the replacement is doing really well, and give us a path to walk that makes us all feel hope. Flacco was a mistake. But Elway can save some grace by getting proactive.

I had pointed out that yesterday was a huge game, with a victory, because we would have vaulted into playoff contention, at least on paper. There was some momentum, and KC was hobbling....and even worse for them, only had Mahomes for 20 minutes!

But a one sided mess like that brings out all weaknesses, and amplifies.

When I look at the schedule now, I have quickly slid to the other side of the spectrum....higher draft pick. Because odds are, based on that performance, we're a 6 and 10 team, from quick assessment. And if things go bad, we could be drafting very high.

So go with new faces in the leadership position. Move on. Give us reasonable hope! But that also includes fixing the Oline, even though that's been a central theme for years. Do anything!

That's why you put Lock out there and be done with it.

This is why Lock should never have been put on IR. Flacco as horrible as he is, is likely still better than Bradon Allen. You take the risk that Flacco makes it to week 3 uninjured, which is how long it took for Lock to start throwing again. Mismanaged, completely.

Also, a lot of these releases of emotion by everyone are standard for a losing record. We have a new offense, new coaches, new QB, everything is new. Nothing can ever get settled, no system can ever play out because YOU the FANS have no PATIENCE and this makes management uncomfortable and feel the need to change constantly.

Our offensive line is bad but Flacco makes it much worse. He has no sense for pressure coming at him and has no clue how to move around and avoid a sack or even through the ball away. Does the guy have a pulse? Never seen a QB with less fire.

Totally agree. He is not starting QB caliber. He should be a backup at this point.

I think most of the players on this team wanted Kelly gone due to his behavior off the field. So to do that might have to clean house; but that appears to be needed so maybe I like this plan lol
