You need to watch his play more closely. Even the local Denver radio hosts called Von out for doing nothing as far as applying pressure all last year, say all he was doing was playing "patty cake" at the line. He barely got 8 sacks, ghosted some game on the stat sheet and you want to pay him for another year? Chubb is supposed to be in his prime and he is hurt again. If Chubb is hurt for the year, then we are in trouble and the offense is going to have to pick up the slack. In the long run, it will take pressure off the offense if this season is not about the SB or even the playoffs. Elway has some money going into the offseason and draft a DE in the top of the 1st rd. Also, force Von to take a pay cut if he wants to stay around.

Shane Ray might be an interesting pick. He was working out this offseason and may be in shape still. You know, he is thinking that too.

This is a gut punch. Von’s sacks were down, but he still impacted more plays than anyone else on the dline. That can’t be replaced, especially if Chubb doesn’t come back full strength. A diminished pass rush is bad news for ILB and secondary. Could be a rough year if the offense struggles. Wish Von the best.

Von Miller’s MRI is over, and the results indicated a season-ending tendon injury. That’s what the initial fear was. He has an appointment with respected foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in Green Bay on Thursday for a second opinion.

Second opinion will most likely result in the same intervention.

It's true. Von wasn't living up to his paychecks... He regressed, got old, had a down year, call it whatever you want.

But he was the soul and leader of this team. It's a kick in the nuts to have the hype for the coming season - especially with all the crap going on in the world - and for this to happen to Miller. He may not be 2015 SBMVP Von Miller, but he's still a damn good football player.

It's going to suck to watch the defense (and team) without him.

Up to Fangio now to step up. Harris gone and Von sidelined...let’s see what coach can do. Time to step up. He’s the leader now. Truly his identity. Let’s see what you can do coach.

Wish Von well on his healing and recovery. Who knows what happens this Covid 2020 campaign.... get rest and be ready to roll next year.

We sink and swim with this young offense anyway. Now they lose their life preserver. Be more bold now. Maybe this group rallies. Makes strides... Then it’s ready to make a serious run next season.

Or we on a nice trajectory to Trevor Lawrence. Hee to the Haw!!!

There are plenty of young leaders to lean on, it’s not like teams don’t go through this every year.

We’ve lost CHJ, Derek Wolfe and now Von! So what, we’ll get through it because we have no choice. We’ve got Jurrell Casey, K-Jack and Justin Simmons, we’ll be fine!

Incredibly unfortunate. I know most people were expecting a big season from Von this year with the return of Chubb, addition of Casey etc.

Maybe. Still no indication if he can play week one. Something is not right with his knee. I wouldn't be surprised if he misses the first couple of games, if not more.

Well, it looks like the season is over before it even begins. With Chubb's sore knee likely to limit him early on there goes the pass rush. With no quality depth it's going to be hard to bring pressure on opposiong QBs. A 10-6 season, IMO, is likely head to the wrong side of 8-8. A whole bunch of folks are going to have to step up to the plate and swing hard for this team to get on the right side of 8-8.

Well, if some of you think the season is over because of one player, you should just stick to baseball.

                              GO BRONCOS!!!

Now that we know he is out for the season. The next question we should be asking: has Von played his last snap in Denver?

He will be 32, coming off a big injury, and set to make $22 million in which only $4m is dead cap.

Imo, I don’t see him being in Denver next year unless he takes a pay cut. Especially considering that he did exactly have the greatest year last year.
