Why doesn’t Elway realize the only reason he won SB and TD had 2k rushing was - the OLine was remarkable- hall of famers - Glasgow was a good signing and Risner is promising but PLEASE fix the OL. It affects EVERYTHING

Don't be silly, we need more receivers. Imagine if we had another few fast guys, 3-0 baby

Idk, but this is the third game in a row that looked like Shurmer had no answer for all the blitzes, so they kept doing it until he made them pay. I mean, he is a very experienced OC yet he couldn't figure out something? As much as the Bucs blitzed today, they must have seem tape and figured that is all they have to do. I seriously think this is the root cause to winning. Coming into the season, I thought the O-Line was going to be as good as last year or improved, but with all the sacks and how they are beating up our QBs, it is open season on our QBs. We might as well save Drew for next season when we have a new HC & OC. Remember, Shurmer was brought to Elway's attention when he became available. Vic's halftime statement was "go out there and try to make something happen" sounded to me that he was saying "... because we have nothing". Three games that looked the same is on the coaching!!

This coaching issue is what I find concerning.

Munchak has the rep as a oline genius, Shurmur as an experienced OC that knows how to develop young talent and Fangio a respected defensive HC.

Where are the adjustments? Where is the max protection by playcalling? Where is the defense putting pressure on a QB or producing turnovers?

How many times did I hear Schlereth make a comment about coaches putting players into position to be successful.

Only three games and I’m already tired of the Broncos looking inept and uninspired.

Bring on the Jets! And please , please show me something!

This O-line (if you can call it that) is a joke. We have gone backwards instead of forwards. I thought Munchek was suppose to be THE GUY for O-lines. Bottom line, the line is horrible and Shurmur is a fraud as a coordinator. Fangio has showed he is way over his head as well. Until all these are fixed, this team will continue to sink to the bottom of the barrel.

I hear ya - wish this sunk in. Very few QBs can account for an average OL. Peyton was one - so was Elway - but to win a championship - we need a killer OL - it really didn’t all click for DEN until they had Stink, Zimmerman, etc ... it affects clock control / pass reads and checkdowns, running game - everything. Please - for the next run, Elway - go sign established Pros - no more OL prospects - just get the pigs

Can't wait for how bad the posts look after Thursday's loss to the Jets......

We can’t run, pass block, gain feet in short yardage situations, and we are awful in the RZ. Glasnow another n a long line of meh OL free agent signings... Rookie OC looks like a rookie who didn’t get offseason reps, Risner seems to have regressed and Bolles is still Bolles.

We only field 4 OL and we refuse to keep in extra TEs to help block...

I’m Hopeful they wax us again. This is 1/3 games we might win... don’t want to be taken out of the TL lottery ticket.

Here’s the thing, we have a rookie C and a QB who has started anywhere from 6-9 games so far this season. It doesn’t matter what the coaches call, they’re calling it before seeing the defensive front. It’s up to either the QB or the C to read the front and make the appropriate line protections. Cush hasn’t been doing it and I don’t think they want a rookie making those calls. However you also essentially have 2 rookie QBs in terms of starts and they aren’t making them either. However Rypien was making some protection calls. I thought that Driskell and Lock weren’t being given that latitude but it appears they are, or Rypien was operating outside the script.

Either way the line is going to come out and block for what the play calls for. If the QB or C sees an extra blitzer or two (even if they don’t come) they have to identify it and change their protections. And if you can’t keep enough in to block everybody because of the play design (Shurmur does do this often) the QB and the WRs/TEs/RBs/FBs have to know this and keep their head on a swivel because even though you’re a decoy route and may be the 4th option check down, you could be the first option if things go south in a hurry. This isn’t a coaching issue though, its really a lack of experience and lack of ownership in/of the offense.

Then we will draft him for sure. I’m sure there will be a franchise QB in this draft. That’s the guy I want.

And - btw - I’m against using high picks for OL - you get established players because the skill is 50/50 or worse translating from college

Nobody regrets DEN waking away from 1983 draft with John Elway. Chris Hinton (OG) and Bruce Matthews (OT) also went in top 10...

You always take the franchise QB if it’s there... we should learn from 2 years ago when we took Chubb over Allen and Jax.

Clady at #12 in 2008 was a good pick.
