I fail to see the humor in this...I wouldn't wish that on a fan of any team. I was sick after the 97 loss to the Broncos, but it didn't hurt nearly as bad as the 95 loss to the Colts in the playoffs.

Having said that, I don't think our playoff performance in 1997 has anything to do with the 2003 Chiefs any more than the Broncos Super Bowl wins in 97 & 98 have anything to do with your team today. Too many things change.

I guess dreaming is just what the Chiefs fans are used to. I dont believe any team can go undefeated in the NFL. The Bears couldnt do it, and Denver(someone refresh my memory, our first loss was to a bad Miami team that year wasnt it?) couldnt do it. And I agree with Javalon about the Dolphins sneaking into the locker room, that was funny. Look at the Vikings losing to the lowly Giants for their first loss of the season. Sorry Cheifs fans but I dont see it happening. In fact, if I were a fan I would want to lose a game or two in the reg. season. Why would you want to go into the playoffs undefeated? It just increases your % of losing in the playoffs.

And our IR does look like a roster, but thats how it gets played in the NFL. If we didnt have so many key injuries who knows how things could have played out for us. And just remember injuries, they can happen to anyone, incl the Chiefs, at any time, at any place. So you better watch the karma you are sending, it might come back to bite ya.

Im guessing that even the rest of the Chiefs fans are hoping this guy shuts up.
Mastema...make sure you stop back by here after the losses...not just after the wins and the byes. If you think youre going 19-0, then I would say youre not a very astute football fan.

Hey, the Broncos went 13-0 just a few years ago and I remember the bandwagon. Just remember, bandwagons don't win games for you.

The pressure mounts the closer you get. Mental mistakes occur more often and you start playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Bad teams start playing better against you because they can have a bright spot to their seasons if they're the ones to knock you off. Good teams play better against you because winning would validate their playoff worthiness. And old Miami Dolphins players sneak into your team's locker room and loosen cleats, sew weights into the jerseys, and sprinkle itching powder into the jocks.

In other words, there's too much to overcome when trying to go undefeated.

really no reason to get all snide about it. My small version of the dictionary does not have it in there. I looked. That's why I asked.

    Sorry I don't know everything.

I still believe that most reasonable fans of any NFL team dream of an undefeated season, but more realistically want a Superbowl win, regardless of record.

But have your prediction I guess. I still don;t think undefetaed is going to happen. 13-3 looks like a very good possibility, perhaps 14-2

I am not sure how funny you all think your injury list is, but I guess there are a bunch of folks here in Kansas City that are getting a good snicker from it.

No, its because its a long season and you will stumble one week...and if you dont...you will in the playoffs. Come on be real.
You MIGHT be the best in the league right now....although your defense is showing some holes....but lets not be stupid.

Still trying to figure out what a Bronoc is!!!???

A Bronoc is a Chiefs fan who is lacking his daily coffee intake and who is still hungover from celebrating the death of the Raiders season.

Back to the undefeated talk. Um, Mastema...isn't it a tad premature to be talking about 16-0 when you have fully half the season left to be played? [/B][/QUOTE]

    I didn't claim 16-0.

    I claimed 19-0

10-6 for the Jennies? Not with your injuries. You injury list looks like a normal team roster.

    Chefs

Chefs has been a derogatory term for the Chiefs for a long, long time. Chris Berman on ESPN was the most notable user of the term ... when Schottenheimer first came to Kansas City, Berman said he was going to keep calling them the Chefs until they had a winning record.

But that Snickers commercial didn't help, but it sure was funny.

    Ok, someone please explain?

And I don't feel the playoffs are a write off yet.

And while 19-0 would be something to talk about, I don't think anyone realistically expects to do so. It is too hard.

5-3 in the first half, 5-3 in the second half would be 10-6.

At the very least, that makes the Broncos a wild card contender,, depneding on other teams records.
