  • Predict the Broncos' record and the AFC West Standings!

The starters are practically done for the preseason so we have just about as good a feel for the teams are we are going to get. Now it's time for some PREDICTIONS!

Remember, this is all in FUN! So, just give it your best shot and know that the NFL is an unpredictable beast, even for the so-called "experts." Obviously, injuries and other factors can throw a kink into the outcomes later in the season. But thus is life in the NFL.

    So...

Pick the Broncos' record for this season in the poll above and then post your overall AFC West predictions here in this thread.

I'm listing the schedules for the entire AFC West and my won/loss predictions but nobody else needs to do that if you don't want to; just give us the records if you want to keep things simpler.

So, let's hear those predictions so we can all lambaste you at a later date.

        1 at Miami Win
        2 SAN DIEGO Win
        3 KANSAS CITY Win
        4 at Jacksonville Win
        5 WASHINGTON Win
        6 NEW ENGLAND Loss
7 at New York Giants Win
8 PHILADELPHIA Win - between the injuries and the drama . . .
        9 BYE WEEK
        10 at Oakland Win
11 NEW YORK JETS Win - home field
        12 at Dallas Win
        13 at Kansas City Win
14 BALTIMORE Win - hang it all if we lose to baltimore again . . .
        15 at Buffalo Loss
        16 OAKLAND Win
17 at San Diego Loss - could be a win though if san diego is resting starters

13-3? well that's what i think should happen in the absence of injuries. however, add in the "any give sunday" factor to the strength of the afc west and i see the record more like 11-5.

EDIT: the rest of those yahoos:

        KC: 9-7
        Oakland: 7-9
        San Diego: 10-6

nice link there bro but woody is insane!!

10-6 will probably be our record (yes again). Main reson for this is our weakness on the o line, depth wise, and at WR, no true #3 go to guy will hurt us. Plus our schedule is really tough, throw in a few trap games and thats gonna be 10-6 or 9-7.

But i think that will be good enuff to win the division:
            Chargers - 6-10
            Raiders - 5-11
            Chiefs - 9-7

              Chargers 11-5 tough ass schedule
              Broncos 11-5
              Chiefs-9-7
              raiders7-9

id pick us to win the division because of some tie breaker.

Yep, that "Any Given Sunday" stuff can really screw up predictions.

Hey I was surprised to see you pick us to win in KC. We always struggle there. What are your picks for the rest of the AFC West?

i think we have enough weapons in the Tight end and rb department not to mention kyle johnson to offset that.

Actually, that's my "letdown" pick after beating the Super Bowl champs the week before. Always seems to happen...

I think we drop one game to each division opponent due to AFCW being way too strong to sweep and possibly Buffalo and Baltimore
                      Prediction: 11-5

I see us beating philly, other than T.O they really dont have anyone else.
Balitmore is tough then again its freakin kyle boller.
New england we'll see how those coordinators leaving affect them i think brady will miss weis they had a tight relationship. we could pull that one out. i think we sweep oakland they're d is horrible and the way plummer has played this preseason is compelte opposite of last preseaosn. kc and SD are tough i see us spiltting both. 12-4 is possible given the way the d line played against indy and how jake has played and how mike a. has run the ball. special teams is still a small question mark.

I’ll go with 11-5, but 12-4 is tempting.

Losses being at KC, at either Jax or Buf (not both), at either Oakland or SD (probably last game of season at SD since they will be playing for more than we will), one of the home games against NE or Philly, and then another loss to a team that we “should have beaten”.

                          The rest…

KC: 10-6 (offense is still good, defense will be better than it’s been)
SD: 9-7 (welcome to the first place schedule, hardest teams on the road, they’ll swallow the hype and gag on it)
Oak: 7-9 (can’t see their defense getting it done especially with their brutal road schedule. They’ll start slow and never recover).

Regardless, IMO taking the “over” on the 8.5 that Vegas is offering for our Broncos seems like a sure thing.
                          Winter is Coming!

oh ok i see what you're sayin. historically i think that's a pretty good pick then.

yeah i don't know about those AFC west away games. i picked us to win because i think we should, but that's also where i think the "any give sunday" is most likely to enter in.
