I hate baseball, but I'll root for anyone who kicks the Yankees' asses.
I hate pro basketball, but I'll root for anyone who kicks the Lakers' asses. I won't root for any team that Carmelo Anthony is on, so that definitely limits my "homer" abilities where the NBA is concerned. I did go to high school with Scot Pollard's older brother, so when he was playing for Sacramento, I rooted for them...but it was mostly because I just wanted them to whallop the Lakers.
I'll watch NASCAR, but it has lost almost all meaning since The Intimidator passed on. Now I'll root for his son, and anyone whose name is NOT Jeff Gordon or Tony Stewart.

I love the Detroit Red Wings commercial that's out now, with all the Avs fans pelting him with crap as he walks through the office.
