    Yeah offense CAN win you a lot of games and possibly a Super Bowl, but a truely good team strives for success in both arenas. This mentality of outscoring opponents with high powered offenses only is the reason many college coaches do not make successful transitions to the NFL. Steve Spurrier anyone?

            It seems a lot of the sportswriters out there seem to base our defense on sacks, which we do rank very low. However, if that is all they base there opinion on then they are completely mislead and obvioulsy dont watch Denver games. The amount of hurries, throw aways, etc are a better indication of how our D is performing. The let ups late in the games are also hurting our D stats and not a true indication of how they are performing. The old saying - Prevent Defense only prevents a victory seems to be so true, IMO.
            If other teams listened to sports writers and statisticians, they would just lay down. Other teams O-coordinators and head coaches have a much better idea of what our defense does than writers and statisticians. Make no mistake - No one will under estimate our defense. (Although I wish they would)


            And the latest player to be bought for the right price from Boston....
