  • Jake DID Have TALENT in Arizona (merged)

I'm tired of the reference to Jake not having talent in Arizona. Jake was fortunate to be drafted into an offense anchored by 2 very solid receivers in Rob Moore and Frank Sanders. I keep hearing he had no talent in Arizona, OH BUT HE DID. Yes his stats were horrible but what else can you expect?
Just some stats for Sanders and Moore through 97-99

    Sanders:

    97: 75 Catches 1017 Yards 13.6 YPC 4 TDs
    98: 89 Catches 1145 Yards 12.9 YPC 3 TDs
    99: 79 Catches 954 Yards 12.1 YPC 1 TD

    Moore:

    97: 97 Catches 1584 Yards 16.3 YPC 8 TDs
    98: 68 Catches 987 Yards 14.7 YPC 5 TDs
    99: 37 Catches 621 Yards 16.8 YPC 5 TDs (Only played in 8 games)

Was just doing some research and stumbled upon these!

Good post West, too bad the Jake all stars, will just dismiss it, and act as though it does not matter.
      CP to you anyways.

          What the . . .

          .

          Who cares, West?

Is this a Broncos or Cardinals board?

All that matters is what Jake is doing HERE.

He did have 20 picks in a year in 4 out of 5 straight years. And added another one here in Denver.

Right two receivers and a fullback who can catch passes means he was surrounded with talent. I don't agree. Besides that nothing on defense and I couldn't tell you how their Special Teams faired.

In 2005? Or is this still 2004?

West, you aren't living in yesteryear also are you?

Why don't you talk about how many times Jake was sacked or the stellar D he had.

                  Thats what I thought.

Oh yeah, where is Sanders, Moore, and Boston now? Again, thats what i thought.

That one will fall on deaf ears as well. Don't be suprised if a group of members, ignore you, call you a liar, or try and get you banned for this post.

I know what you are saying though man, I refuse to just look at 1 or 2 good years, in a 9 year career, but call me crazy.

Nope not living in yesteryear because its still going on still today. Just proving them Jake Lovers wrong about not having talent in Arizona.

And those 3 drifted away due to several injuries. Very injury prone but when healthy were very productive.

I don't know how they'd call me a liar when I got the stats. Stats don't lie.

LMAO! Ok so the years in AZ don't count, and 2004 does not count either. Since we are coming to the conclusion that Jake is an unbelievable QB because of 2003, and 2005, I would have to say Jim Everett was one of the best QB's of all time. He had a great year or 2 with the Rams.

Hmmm, I don't know about the rest of the team, but don't you think those stats could be skewed a bit because the Cardinals had to throw all the time?

Elway stops, loads up, throws deep down the middle of the field and Rod Smith's got it!
